Improvement on customer relationship and reviews needed

When we got zomato setup for our cafe we didn’t get any assistance in fact had to followup almost 50 times to get it done. The images upload privileges are revoked and hence cannot upload images for the menu items.
Reviews are one sided- customers can place reviews but cafe owners cannot followup. Reviews should help in improving the service. And if the cafe manager or owner cannot get in touch with the customer to know what went wrong, how will the service improve.
People can post fake reviews. This is verified by me personally. I tried to reach the customers who had written a review and they were not the ones who had ever placed any order.

Horrible experience

I am in the US and ordered Domino’s pizza for my old parents dinner in Chennai. The delivery guys just don’t search for the address. He called me coupe of times and I was in the middle of a meeting and could not answer. He went back to the restaurant. Then I spoke with him and gave directions. He assured he’ll deliver immediately. Then nothing for another 45 minutes and he would not answer my calls. So then I contacted customer service which you can do only on chat and they say they cannot talk on phone. Finally pizza was delivered 1:45 minutes after ordering. I missed my work and other meetings I had as I had to spend 45 minutes with customer service what should simply have been a 5 minutes call. I HATE YOU ZOMATO. You are horrible. I HATE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT IT CAN ONLY BE A CHAT.

Great food app

This app is very useful when checking the reviews for a restaurant you want to go to. It has pics of food, ambience, menus.
Just a suggestion to add a category to show if the restaurant has a bathroom facilities. So that if going with kids then we don’t have to worry.
Also don’t like this concept of gold membership. It’s not worth it as commented by few people and also it’s not fair to pay for the membership. If they make it compulsory to get the membership for the usage of the app then I will start using google.
The format has changed slightly which is not very user friendly. They keep promoting the membership a lot which is annoying.

Just takes your money doesn’t deliver

I placed an order on the app to be delivered to my hotel, an easily accessible and well known hotel. The delivery took 48 minutes which is fine, however the deliver driver was across the road on the map for around 10 minutes and made no effort to contact me. My order was then cancelled, and the reason was that they couldn’t contact me, but I never received any missed calls and I was actively trying to chase up the order. They couldn’t offer me a refund as it went down as a penalty, so they charged me the full amount and an hour later, I don’t even get any food or any sort of incentive to order again. The man on the chat was nice, but he couldn’t offer me anything but ‘sorry’ and that doesn’t make up for my losing my money, when the driver could have accessed the hotel easily but didn’t.

Very Bad Customer Care

You don’t look into the root cause of the matter you just offer promo codes which is like insult over injury. the restaurant is not that far from my home in car takes 15 mins in bike will take max 10 mins. it was the fault of your delivery person who is loitering around instead of heading to pick up and then he instead of heading straight back was again loitering around. And you will not take any action against nor did you follow up on proactively when order was running late whereas me and my family on other were sitting around mobile following up on the order because we were hungry and more importantly my child was hungry. You caused a family dispute and I had to rush to get the food that was promised but never delivered because you put the onus of following the order on me instead of taking it up yourself. SHAME ON YOU.

Poor support services

I love zomato and their services10/10. I am their regular customer. I made a complaint first time I generally ignore it. I normally order for my family as I live faraway from my family. So yes, I do enjoy their services. I contacted first time and tell them things were missing from food and it was my brother’s bday. I simply asked them to send another cake coz I don’t need money. As we know mistakes happened and we don’t need to take it seriously it’s ok just offer another item or simply replaced the food. It’s little bit upsetting me when they said to me sorry only and told me they can’t offer anything even though they compared the pic and just accept it but they denied for any credit. It simply shows they don’t respect or care their customers at all. I really don’t know their refund policies as I never made complaint but it hurts litte somewhere when u are a genuine customer but they don’t care about it. I simply want zomato to notice this issue and they need to work on it.

Old customer

I had gone to Chandani Chowk, your original outlet. I carry that in my mind. I ordered kesar Kulfi Falooda yesterday with the same expectation. At least, to the worst, I had expected a good kulfi from normal restaurants.
Kulfi which was served was the worst ever I had. It was even worse from the worst place. Falooda was so hard. There was no kulfi rather it was vanilla ice cream topped with Pan syrup. You people spoilt the kulfi. It looked as if you want to spoil your own name and very soon want to shut your business.
I will definitely publicise your name in negative way. Best wishes for your closing ceremony !!

Go to app for places to eat

Zomato is awesome! Everytime i need to try out a new place — i’d always refer to the reviews at ZOMATO...And its 99% accurate!

If i choose the best rates restaus.. it always turns out to be an amaZing experience.
I loved the fact that they changed the discounts on being a zomato gold member... i’d recommend being a gold member to anyone whose a foodie like me! :)

Customer service

Worst customer service from any delivery service. I ordered food couple of time via Zomato and they call me later telling me the resold “closed” and hold your funds or the money you spent after days of the original order. I will avoid anyone ordering from this app. They don’t have 24/7 telephone line for any situations just computer automated responses in the messaging system.

All in all do not use this.

Pathetic Customer Service

I ordered home delivery of certain items from a local restaurant. The order was delivered incomplete. I am a Zomato pro user, but still I had to wait 16 mins before an agent responded to my request on “pro help” chat. After a lot of arguing, he finally agreed to call up the Resturant to lodge a complaint and get the remaining items delivered. To my utter surprise and dismay, I got a call from a completely different Resturant inquiring what was missing in my order. Turns out that the agent had called up wrong Resturant altogether. Post that, I tried re-engaging but there was no response on chat from Zomato team. Very poor customer service!
