    This app does not work good on older phones. It never clocks me in or out and i have to do it manually I’m so sick of this dam app. And yes i has the tech guy look at it and he had no answer to fix it.

You can look for known issues in the troubleshooting section of the automatic status updates page or you can email us directly, help@simplymadeapps.com. They are usually very reliable, but can be problematic if not set up correctly. Please let us help you get them working properly.
  • Needs Apple Watch compatibility

    Being able to change my in/out status from my watch would have me rate this 5 stars.

    Thanks for the suggestion. It is on our list of requests. We are still working through a backlog of other features, but a watch app is something we are definitely considering. Thanks for using Simple In/Out.
  • Doesn’t clock me in

    I clock in and have to refresh and check that it does actually do so because sometimes it doesn’t and I have to resubmit. A few times I have not refreshed to check and I have to write an email every time I “forget to clock in”. Hopefully they get this fixed because it is very frustrating.

  • It’s alright

    I use this for work, and although it updates me automatically, it also doesn’t do that some days. I’m always getting notifications that my status couldn’t be updated because it would over overwrite my current status. My “current status” was updated by Simple In Out. I didn’t manually go in and update it. Also, every time an update happens, I have to go in and reset all my settings. It’s also a big battery drainer. So yeah, the app is just alright.

  • Only use it because I have to

    This app is horrible. I have to use it for work, it constantly crashes, won't sign you out automatically as it's supposed to. Often have to delete and reinstall. Bulky and awkward. Don't bother unless you're obligated.
  • Great product, in theory

    Amazing idea!!! Too bad it only works a percentage of the time. What percentage? Depends on the day. Sometime 100%. Sometimes 80%. Sometimes 15%. Sometimes 0%. Bummer.
  • Way too expensive!!

    This app service is far too expensive for our team of hostage negotiators to use. For such a simple app, it should be free.
  • Useless in automatic check-in mode

    Geofencing is the only available option for iPhones at this point. Location status is not available via wifi as with other devices. The geofences are inaccurate and will check me in and out of locations that I'm not even in the vicinity of. The attractive part of this app was the ability to check in at locations without having to open the application to change the status, however every time I move my status changes even from within the same geofence. Disappointing product.

    Sorry that the Automatic Status Updates weren't working as consistent as you'd like. We'd love to offer Networks as an option, but the needed permissions to check for changes isn't available in the background like other platforms. If it ever becomes available, we will definitely add it. As far as getting Geofences working, just make sure you keep Wifi turned on and that the Geofence is at least 100-150M.   • Good tool.

    This is a great tool for the work place. I am not a fan on geofencing. Having my location on constantly drains battery power and data usages. And on a lesser note, scares me a bit. I wish there was a way that I could be checked in when I connected to my job site's wifi. Then it would click me in without the data usage or the constant tracking. This doesn't diminish my battery power, but that's my fault for keeping my wifi on.

    We understand keeping location on can raise some red flags. We outline in our privacy policy that we don't track users and we don't store location data. Ever. You can also use our Office Hours feature to prevent updates from happening on the weekends or after hours. In regards to battery usage, just check the Settings app to see where all your battery usage is going. The location updates should not add any more battery drain than just keeping Wifi turned on. Hope that helps!
  • Geofence issue

    Geofence only works about 50% of the time. Almost every week I have to answer to my authority asking why I my board status isn't updated. If there is a solution or I'm doing something wrong someone please let me know. But I hate this app, that geofence needs to work 100% of the time for my job.
