Came for the Meme Generator, Stayed for the Meme Community
I’ve had Pictophile since 2016 and it has been good not only as a meme creator but also as a community. Features that I like include the sub-menu to switch from recent, private, and popular posts being in the top left. It’s out of the way, but easy to access and easy to used. Pictophile also has many features to allow users to comment, like, dislike, subscribe, and block content and users, which will allows me to tailor my experience to what I like. Although, I haven’t had to block anybody yet. The last and most important feature in why I originally got the app has to do with its meme creation applications. It has a video stitched, gif to video and vice versa functionality, and meme formats programmed in which are also very easy to use. I’ve since bought the premium version, although not necessary to use this app, it does provide extra features for the community aspect of the app such as adding a prefix or changing the background color of your text in the comment section. The features can be earned over time, but I’m impatient. Overall, I recommend this app and I plan to stay! I hope this review can give you an idea of what to expect! BEST meme APP. I’ve been here since the beginning and seen people come go and come back. Besides the awesome original content the people make this awesome. You’ll get to know them & understand what they do and it’s so many ch better than just flipping thru pictures when you know bouser posted something with the h00k’er tag list.

I use this app allot. I had the free version for months, and finally decided to upgrade to pro. This app makes good memes, and has other features like background erase and photo stitching. For 1.99, it’s a good deal. It reminds me of the good old days when most great apps were only a dollar or two, as opposed to the current ones that want to charge expensive monthly subscription fees.Show lessFame_O
Dying, toxic community. Best avoid
I’ve been on this app for almost 10 years, but in the last 2-3 the community has become exceedingly toxic. Admins actively abuse their power and make posts that others would be banned for.
Every single post on this app is stolen from the top pages of Reddit and Ifunny, the only original posts aren’t funny in the slightest, as can be seen with them getting <10 likes.
The final straw was seeing the new rule of “no political posts” that was only enforced for about a week. Anyone who had made political posts in the past were permanently banned. Nowadays you can post whatever political garbage you want, even the admins do it.

I love this app and use it for all my memes I make and it works very well. In terms of how much I like it and use it, 5 stars. But so much of the features you need premium for. Reliable Meme Machine
I’ve been using this app for creating memes and photo editing for years. First and foremost they make it very easy to edit a splice and blur and pretty much anything you need to do. Finding this app was like finding a needle in a haystack, a true diamond in the rut. There are too many “meme creator” apps that require you to pay in order to utilize their app to the full. Dopameme is different. Every feature of the app is completely free with no ads. Forget just using this app for memes. It’s a feature-filled picture editor in it’s own right. Stopped working
Evidently, the developer has abandoned the app. It will not work with the latest version of iOS. After you specify what images the app has access to, there’s no way to then choose an image from the pool you made available. The app doesn’t know what to do next.santuccie
Incredible
For a free app, the feature set is unreal. The developer has packed so much capability into this program! I am curious what the pro version offers that the free one doesn’t have. The ability to edit gifs frame by frame and paste images in layers is only available in desktop applications usually. So having this in a phone app is incredible! Great work!Show lessRubik8
