  • Brilliant!

Quirky and loveable in every way, and as addictive as Cut the Rope or Angry Birds! Contre Jour is beautifully designed (even the menu screen is a joy!) and filled with fantastic scenery and interact-able objects. Stretchy tentacles, giant Venus flytraps, stars, a whole lot of watchful eyes and a cute little rolling monster- what more could you need?

  • Beautiful

And genuinely challenging. Quite a step up from cut the rope! Great music as well.
  • Not bad.

The graphics are well done, the puzzles are challenging, and the game works within well within the mechanics it has. The "black on black" color scheme is dull at first, and will start annoying you after a while.

This is a level-based, physics puzzle game. Like Angry Birds but with different physics puzzles. I've played about as much Angry Birds as I can stand, and I had to give this game up after about three levels because I just couldn't stand it any more. If you are tired of Angry Birds/Cut the Cord/Bomb me with fruit or whatever other games are based on this meme, stay away from this game. If you love those kinds of games and haven't gotten enough of them, then here's another one for you to get thru.

  • A Perfect Edge

A good game wanders close to the line where the Cliff of Enjoyment gives way to the Abyss of Frustration. A great game walks it like a tightrope, glancing over its shoulder every now and then to see if you have the nerve, or maybe sheer insanity, to follow.

You will find yourself feeling, after a while, like the hapless fairy-tale character who has realized too late that the intriguing mechanism is in fact cursed, and cannot be set aside until its impossible demands are met. “Yes, this puzzle is ridiculously difficult, and really, I should just be rational, take my two lights, and move on, but… hey, what if I try this…?”

I’m not saying it’s addictive. I’m just saying that if I’d had the presence of mind to fully charge my iPad earlier in the evening, I might not have gotten any sleep at all last night.

  • Superb

excellent visuals, gameplay, level design and sound effects. Highly recommended action/puzzle game
  • The best!

The best graphics and soundtracks I have ever seen on iOS
  • Beautiful, Relaxing

A work of art, a thing of beauty. This game was made for the iPad, and it shows. Wonderful. If you enjoy World of Goo, you'll love Contre Jour HD.
  • Nice touch!

Get it? Nice touch? I will five star this game all day long! Not since World of Goo have I played a game that utilizes the touch screen in a way that is fun, enjoyable, and mind twisting. The music is perfectly tranquil. Graphics are dark, quirky, and fun. Game design is unique and mind bending. I was hesitant to purchase at 2.99 and caught it on sale at .99. After playing it for a hour I feel 2.99 would have been a perfectly priced steal. If you like games that are perfectly suited for the iPad then you will adore this. Buy it at any price.

  • It's one of the best games on iPad

At first, I was skeptical. The whole theme and the so called good music and the insistence upon itself made me feel like the game thought it was better than me with its 3 dollar price tag. But then I got past the smugness of the game and realized it was sort of entertaining and it never crashes. The game feels well made and not cheap. The physics is outstanding and there is lots of cool puzzles that make you smile. It's worth paying more for the HD version. This game was meant to be played on an iPad.

  • Love this game

I really love this game and I can't fault too much. I love the soundtrack and the styling of this game its really beautiful to play but can you guys please fix the constant crashes. I love to play it but everytime I do it crashes, even with the new added moonlight level (even more so). I am a massive fan of all chillingo games but this is a really enoying and needs to be fixed.
