Amazing, has some audio bugs and is not the best quality

I was watching an anime on here first time using this app absolutely amazing graphics beautiful animation and great subtitles and voice actors but a lot of audio bugs and ad bugs I’m used to ad’s and stuff but the audio bugs were really annoying and the quality of the anime shown was really bad very blocky and glitchy but overall great app but could use some fixing ☺️☺️(letter for viki) please fix the audio bugs and quality bugs as they do kinda ruin the experience of the anime and shows on this app but I’d like to say the app is really good and is amazing quality:)

Great but there’s some catches!

1. I wanna make it clear that viki is a great app, I love using it, but I have a few issues
2. The issues are, it’s not very free, the ads are repetitive and for me it freezes sometimes, I am aware these are basic and just complaints at this point but they are concerns I have which effect my viewing experience, still regardless it’s a good app but still.

That’s really all there is to my point, short and sweet, great all still, you use it!!

Would be better with PiP

I love this app, there are so many great shows on here, and even for those without the subscription you can watch a lot of great stuff. My only real issue is that Picture in Picture doesn’t seem to work for this app on iPhone. It works for other apps like 9now and Tubi so I know it’s not impossible.. I would change my review to 5 stars if there was PiP, I enjoy being able to multitask while watching shows on my phone, I realise the feature might not be in high demand as a lot of people prefer to use subtitles but I still think it’s a really good feature to have available. Then users can check their messages and so on whilst watching a show and not have to exit the app and reenter it midway through an episode/movie. Please consider adding the option to use the Picture in Picture feature for devices that support it! Thanks!

I love Viki

I found Viki during COVID lockdown and it has been making me happy ever since. It is one of the best platforms for watching Cdrama and always has some of the best subtitles. I love the little explanations they give sometimes to explain to non-Chinese viewers the meaning of certain phrases or actions they may not be familiar with. This has really helped my understanding of the dramas. The app performs well and my only suggestion would be to add a function to skip the end titles without leaving the play position in the same place. Otherwise when you rewatch the drama it jumps to the end titles on the episodes where you click next episode. Overall I totally love Viki and now pay a year in advance as I feel confident it will continue to provide me with many hours of enjoyment. The entertainment value is well worth the subscription fee. Keep up the good work xx

Subtitles Quicker

Love K Dramas but. I also would prefer to have a series available complete and not having to wait a week for the next episode. There are some who give amazing reviews and l try to find their comments before l watch any series. Is there some way l could look at a series and then just look at their reviews.
I also would like to have all the English reviews together it is frustrating to look at ones that don’t show review click on it for it to be in another language

Ads are too long!

I really enjoy watching dramas and movies on this app and I don’t mind watching some ads while watching my dramas but there is one ad in specific that is for a synthroid medication and it’s exactly a minute long. Now I don’t mind watching a minute long ad once or twice during one episode but this ad literally comes up every single time there is an ad break and some times they even play it two or three times in a row and it’s getting really annoying. Sometimes I get so annoyed by it that I literally just stop watching the episode and don’t get back to it for a few days. Now like I said I don’t mind watching ads during an episode, especially since I’m not paying anything to do so, but can you guys please do something to make sure that the synthroid ad only shows up once or twice (no more that two) per episode or if it’s going to come up more than twice then can you please ad a skip ad button on it so we can have the option to skip it after a few seconds. I don’t understand how you guys have a skip ad button on some ads that are only a few seconds long but not on the synthroid ad that is literally a whole freaking minute long and then sometimes play that same ad three times in a row. Please look into this because I’m literally getting to the point where I’m getting very displeased with this app and I’m really thinking of deleting it and getting another one. Hope you guys will listen to my genuine complaint and do something about it.

Please save where I’m up to (:

Love the shows, great pricing, and I like the # of days to the next episode countdown. I just wish it was better at keeping track of where I am up to as it sometimes randomly jumps a few episodes back when I use the continue watching bar. Also, I’ve definitely finished some of the shows it thinks I’m part way through since I didn’t watch the credits in the final ep.

Addictive

I have been watching Viki for a year now and it out performs other programs. Everything I watch I find the acting and storyline excellent . The scenery and special effects are amazing especially the historical series. Watching these shows has encouraged me to research information on South Korea and Mainland China which has increased my knowledge of these countries and given me a better understanding of them. Viki is the only program I watch now. Not sure what the average age group is of your customers are , I am 85 years old and wish I had discovered Viki long ago.

Great Platform with a Little Room for Improvement

I started with the free trial and quickly got hooked. The library on Viki is massive—I know I will never run out of programs to watch. I opted for the standard subscription below the plus sub, and honestly, I’m quite quite satisfied. It offers a lot without feeling restrictive. Also, I was hesitant about the crowd-sourced subtitle translations, but the quality is very good. Overall, the app interface is very seamless—easy to find shows, add them to my watchlist, find recs, use filters, etc. However, there are a couple features Viki could benefit from: -Option to Turn Off Parental Controls. Every time I want to watch content that is rated R or above a pin is required. It’s annoying and there is no way to turn it off. -Font Change for Subtitles. [Edit: Viki does have various fonts for subtitles] -Better Return to Last Part Played. It seems that sometimes when I resume a series it plays from an earlier part in the series not where I last left off. I can understand having this issue if I’m casting to Chromecast since other streams have that bug, but I experience this problem across platforms including the TV app. I’m still enjoying Viki, but a few much-needed improvements would make the experience perfect and fully on par with other top streaming services, like Netflix and Prime Video.

App suddenly stop working

I keep getting error messages “There has been unexpected issues. Try again a few minutes later”. It has been hours and it’s still not working. I’ve done everything troubleshooting said to do like log out and log in; delete app and reinstall and check WiFi etc… but nothing works. Help!
