I think some people say it doesn't work because if you get a text the alarm will not go off?

What is the point in having a wireless AirPlay speaker if the app to control its settings requires you to manually plug it in with a cable to change treble and bass? The IR remote is more use than this app!! Update the app so I can access the settings of my iW1 wirelessly from the app and my rating will go from 1 star to 5 stars.
