Pretty useful.
So if I use the dock function as alarm, I suppose the alarm would just play from my Music app. I woke up to white-noise static for some reason this morning from the dock setting. This app might be my solution as an interface for the 12 to the iHome+Radio. I assume the firmware will update itself on the iHome Set, so hopefully I shouldn’t have any issues like the one I had this morning.
Otherwise, I’m pretty happy with the sound quality from the iHome+Radio. Thanks to Bluetooth, I’ve even managed to use a keyboard as a remote & that alone is a brilliant convenience, although probably not as often considered.Show lessocochuli
Not bad for an old app
I have an old ihome IW1 and despite it’s age, it works amazing. Even better, it works with the app still on an iphone 13 pro! It took about an hour to finally get everything set up and working, but now whenever i get home and connect to wifi, i can play music without touching the speaker. The main issue with the app isn’t the app, it’s most likely the dated devices people try to use with the app. There’s a very limited selection of things you can do with the app depending on what device is connected, but it gets the job it was made for done and you can’t ask much more than that. 4 stars for having an app that does what it’s supposed to do despite 5+ yrs of no support!!Show lessErik981998
iOS changed and my connection between my ohms dons
As of the most recent iteration of iOS 15, the iPhone 13 Pro 13 is no longer compatible with the iHome clock radio. It worked fine until the last iteration.Buttercup Kelley
iHome just keeps getting worse
The first iHome I bought, I loved. It came with a remote and the sleep option had the music fade out before it cut off. But the LED eventually died and the support team didn’t offer any repair options. So, I bought a new one. No remote. And the music just cuts off without fading out. Latest thing, the app (iHome+Sleep) stopped working, so I deleted it and tried to download it again. But now it’s showing “not available in my country/region”. So, I tried iHome Set, which offers considerably less than the iHome+Sleep option. With the old app, I could set multiple alarms by day (not just weekend, weekdays, etc) and set my sleep and wake music from the Apple Music App. No more. Instead of improvements, SDI takes the best features and eliminates them. I hope to find a better product no matter what I have to pay for it.Show lessvlynell
I home set works sometimes but likes to disconnect when it wants
I home set is not reliable working with the I home W1 speaker. It cuts off the cable connection to my iPhone 8. And surprise sometimes it works through WiFi.SamTheSwiss
Now my alarm clock is a brick
My iPad automatically updated and now it will not work with this app. This has been the only way to set my alarm clock. Now I guess it will tell the correct time until the next power outage. After that the entire thing is a brick. Bummer!Micmousfan
Please update app
The app needs an update. The app has lots of scaling issues to iPhone 6s screen size. There is now bright white background like a texture was removed or forgotten. Every morning I use two alarms a radio and a beep back up. If I snooze then try to turn off alarms the clock screen still shows active alarms. I have to turn off on off for screen to clear alarms. Never buying iHome again
This app never worked perfectly, but it did work and the devices were great. Although they never fixed the bugs, at least they recompiled it so it would work through a couple iOS updates. It was the bare minimum they could do (and takes no effort) but even that proved too demanding; now the app doesn’t work, so their devices are bricks. If they had folded this app’s functions into newer apps that handled other products it’d easily be worth getting more iHome devices, but they’ve shown the extent of their customer loyalty. Need to update
I have to remove my iPad to use any bluetooth device. Most time when I’m Air-dropping an app to my Apple TV I have to remove from dock. Other than that it’s ok. But still needs updated. The last update was 3 years ago. Apple has updates several times a year.rivethead002
Lots of bugs!
This app is quite buggy. Even after setting up presets for the radio, I get to wake up in the mornings to the sounds of radio static and not any of the presets I stored within the unit or the app while docked to my iPhone 11 max pro.
Additionally, I’ve been asking these people to add an option to the app so the user can lock the dimmer state of the display on the radio because it shares a button with the snooze function.
The radio is nice in concept but, if you’re not going to support your unit and do software updates, that’s a loser.Show lessZ3r0 C0ol
