  • I LOVE my Golf Pad!!

This easy to use app helps me learn my numbers (how far I’m hitting the ball
(when I connect properly!) ) It also tells me the distance to the front, center and back of greens. I’m finding it to be quite accurate when I compare what distance GP indicates vs what my friend’s very pricey GPS shows..... it’s always within a couple of yards, and with my game that’s all I need. And the price is definitely great considering that it’s free. I’ve turned several of my friends onto this amazing golf app!! I also love the fact that I can switch over to the Map View to see how far it is over water, to waters edge or sand traps.
I really can’t say enough about how great this gadget is!!!

  • Overview

    Fantastic!
  • Loses Data & no back-up

Normally the app works great. However, you MUST exit the round and check it is saved in playing history BEFORE sharing it to email; otherwise, if the app detects a loss of connection even for a few seconds during sharing, it gives an error and returns to the main menu without saving the round locally 😡

    Developer Response

Thank you for reporting the problem. This is definitely not intended behavior. We carefully tested round saving & sharing with bad / disappearing connection but could not reproduce it yet. Would you mind sending us a direct email at support@golfpadgps.com so we can ask some questions and get a bit more information to investigate and fix? Thank you! Golf Pad team.
  • Getting Familiar

It takes a little bit of time to get to understand how it works but overall a friendly app.
  • Hole ratings

The golf pad is a great app that offers so many features it’s also, easy to use the one thing I love about it is that it doesn’t freeze up. How ever the one thing it doesn’t have is an indication of the hole rating so, If your playing stableford or par you have no knowledge of the hole rating this is, frustrating.
Hopefully they are working on this issue and will come up with the goods very soon by the way, you can, swipe left and there you will see the hole rating. Overall, I highly recommended .
For the price of this app you cant and will not go wrong. Enjoy.

  • Apple Watch

Hi there, I like the app but even when I switch off location through my phone app my apple watch is continually trying to find holes as well as my watch going flat (brand new). After each round of golf I’m needing to delete app off watch until I play again. Hope this is of some help in regards to your next update.

  • App very good however let down by tags.

I’ve been using the app for a while now and it seems pretty good. It knows every course I’ve played on and has helped quite a bit with distance to the hole and bunkers etc. After using it for a month or two, I thought I’d buy the tags to speed up recording the shots taken and position on the course. They are quite expensive at $100, but unfortunately simply do not work with my iphoneXS. I tried with and without a case and couldn’t get them to reliably scan. I reported this back to golfpad who weren’t of much help. They said they’d look into it. I heard nothing back and asked for a refund, I didn’t get a response again.
The app can be a bit cumbersome to keep track of each shot as you have to get the phone out of your pocket and mark the shot each time. The tags would have helped if they worked. Due to poor customer service and non working tags I’ve dropped the star rating. If everything worked it would be a 4.

  • Takes a little to use to, but very effective record keeper

I downloaded several golf scoring apps and have found this one to be the most user friendly. I like that I can review my rounds on the computer at home and look forward to maybe using the Tags later for ease when recording.
  • Easy

I have only used it one round but this is really easy to use just tap the hole you’re starting on it gives accurate readings from tee to green then tap to enter score. Anxious to try it next week to see my cumulative scores.
After three weeks of use it is very easy to use and to see the history. I have noticed that it does eat the battery power fairly quickly. Start at 100% and at 50% after four hours. After seven weeks I find it easy to use, go from hole to hole, go back and edit, and close out and safe.

  • Great info

I’ve been using this app for two years, still learning how to use it to better my game. But it’s very easy, gives ranges to center of the green, and allows me to better understand where I need to improve my game. It’s especially helpful during our annual golf trip when we play strange/new courses; ranges and course layout help tremendously in course management. The one BIG drawback is that your golfing buddies will continuously ask you for information on the course :)
