Robust and stable app for on-stage

I love this app! I was using OnSong, but abandoned it because it just had too many bugs. I moved all my timeline and MIDI control to Ableton Live, stage lighting to LightKey and iPad song sheet displays to SongBook+. I easily import PDF songsheets into it using the finder and assign a MIDI command to each song so that Ableton live set can call them up. Ableton sends MIDI commands to scroll everyone’s iPads… This approach has worked great for me now for over 6 months. I’m so glad I am using the right tool for each job. SongBook+ might not have all the flashy bells and whistles other programs might have, but it has one much more important feature: it works flawlessly and reliably! Also, my songsheets are easily created in Word and converted to pdf for import - these standard tools allow easy editing and ultimately produce better looking displays! Backups are also a breeze using standard Finder interface… Lastly, the support team is very responsive and professional in answering inquiries.

Complaint

Dear sir or madam
I purchased the app and downloaded all the music on my IPad per the instructions in the manual. However, I am unable to have the downloaded songs, all M03 or WAV files to shift to display chords and lyrics. I will attempt to get with someone who can perhaps explain the conundrum, else I will cancel my subscription immediately. Very poor instructions.

Bought the full version a few years ago! Now they want me to pay again because of an update! Try blocking an update on iPad!

It is possible to disable automatic app updates in the settings of iPad. After 4.5 years, SongBook+ displays a warning after each installed update with the recommendation to ddisable automatic updates.

The author is a thief

I already bought full version few years ago, and after last update, is asking me to buy again in order to unlock. I will be reporting it to apple store.

The app starts warning half a year before, that this will happen if you install the next major update. I'm sorry that you probably didn't see or read that warning and nevertheless installed the update.

Horrible UI

This is strange, that you rate the UI as horrible. The app has worldwide more than 1000 ratings with an average of 4.6. So the UI cannot be that horrible. Many users love the UI and say that it is easy to use and intuitive. Did you take a look into the user manual with many images and screenshots or contact support?

Not free

When you first open the app you see amazing grace. If you try to add a new book or song it says to get premium. So then I try to edit amazing grace and it says I need premium to do that. You have to get premium to do anything! What’s the point in saying the app is free if you can’t do anything until you get premium? Honestly don’t buy this app unless you want to spend a but load of money. It’s not worth it! Just use notes instead, it comes with your phone and it’s free. Trust me!

Are you sure that you rated SongBook+ and not another app? SongBook+ doesn't contain any songs when you download it from AppStore, also not the song amazing grace. In SongBook+ you can add your own songs, and as long as you don't want to add more than 15 songs, it is absolutely free to use. The in-app purchase or subscription for full version is only needed if you want to use it with more than 15 songs.

Okay so I got this app for my piano and I read the reviews and the developer is so disrespectful hate on me all you want but I’m deleting this I’m not learning piano from an app with a rude developer so that’s all I have to say good bye

An App that is way ahead of its time!

Been using this app for several years.
Have almost 1000 songs synced to my Korg PA3x Songbook. What a time saver when performing! With Bluetooth Midi LE hardware, it works perfectly wireless with my IPad Pro. No need for a camera kit. I use Yamaha UD-BT01 for the hardware. Quicco Mi.1 works too.

Don't let the cost scare you. It is worth every dime!

I had tremendous support too on communicating to my Roland VAccordion, fr4x bank registers changes
Tried other apps similar, but Songbook + much user friendly.

The app is set friendly. Going on over 5 years of usage. Recommended to others.
