“Free” $75/yr app collects all your info

So sick of these “free” in-app purchase scams. There is absolutely no free access. You sign up giving all of your sensitive personal information only to end on a screen that says 14 day trial then $75/yr that you can’t progress past without agreeing.

I then looked closer at the app info which indicates it tracks all sorts of really sensitive data that have NOTHING to do with incoming calls: Purchases, location, search history, usage data, contact info and many more.

The whole reason you would get this app is because your data has been leaked and you are receiving spam calls - seems like these people are preying on people in that vulnerable position by then collecting (and who is to say not selling) that very private information. Why on earth would a call scanning service need access to my purchases and search history

Awful

This app does nothing at all. I’m getting two to three scam calls a day and the app just tells me it’s “likely a business”. Searching most of the numbers on “who calls me” immediately shows multiple alerts for the numbers. So what exactly does this app do? What database does it use?
My network provider provides its own spam blocker so I will try that out. It can’t be any worse than this.
Finally almost all scam calls I receive use the Lycamobile network. If there was a way to block that whole network it would be a start. Don’t waste your money. I realise the app gets an overall positive review but please if you’re thinking of installing this hot mess, then at least sort the reviews by “most recent” to see a truer picture of how awful this app now is.

Do NOT use/buy this useless app!

So the app says in it’s description you can find out who’s calling you from a withheld number / no caller ID…..downloaded the app, purchased the subscription so next time someone phones withheld number, truecaller will tell me right? Nope …… doesn’t work in the slightest, done a number of test runs with this app from various phones using withheld number and the app doesn’t show me the number, just yet the same no caller ID come up. Now I’m having great difficulty deactivating my account, it just doesn’t want to deactivate after several attempts to close my account. Don’t waste your money with this useless app.

Useless as Call Display & Call Blocker

I installed this useless app as it did not function as a call display or call blocker. This app is “Nothing” more than just to create a database itself. It doesn’t even display the true inherent number neither block any calls. Moreover, my home line number with call display & call blocker, it does the job well done for my home phone but not this “Useless” app that just collect phone numbers to create their database.

Useless application

I have bought a one year subscription and enabled the application for my phone by following the instructions. However it doesn’t support my provider which is Bell and doesn’t screen the calls and finally it doesn’t block any spams or fraud calls. Waste of money and totally useless

Good app to block spammers

I have the free version of the app and I think it is good. I would opt for the premium version if the cost was half what it is now. I have given the 4 starting mainly because of the ads that pop up everytime I want to manually update the list. It is annoying and I have to attempt the update several times before it actually updates. I don’t remember a single on of the ads so I don’t see the point of shoving this down the throat of free users. Find another way to generate revenue!

Dodgy method of subscription

I hate these apps these days, they ask you for your details and make you fill out a bunch of questions takes about 10-15 or so min of your time and then at the end they tell you you will have to pay/subscribe to use the app. Why don’t they tell you that beforehand? Because they’re afraid you won’t purchase. And you feel more invested and worked up after they’ve dragged you thru a bunch of questions.
Oh and don’t try tell us because you offer a 3 day or 1 week free trial that you are giving us the option to purchase because we all know in order to get that free trial we have to enter our bank details and you are just capitalising/banking on the fact that we have busy lives and will forget that we’ve subscribed to your app and we end up paying for it and it’s difficult to get a refund.
I don’t subscribe/purchase whenever I experience this because it’s a dodgy way for an app or anyone to do business.
Just tell the App Store or yourselves to give us the price situation before hand, at the beginning or before opening the app, from the very start. Or how about give an actual free trial of the app where we don’t have to give our bank details?
Afraid you won’t make as many sales?… well I’d rather do business with upfront ethics than dodgy trickery

app doesn’t do what it says it does

app literally doesn’t identify any spam calls or text. also displays as a free app, but you HAVE to pay after a month. misleading and deceptive

Good for what it is but expensive subscription

It’s rare that I don’t personally report a scam call to their database - which seems to be entirely how the system works; contributions by their user base… however they expect a paid subscription when YOURE the one providing details of the spam callers. A few dollars maybe, but $10 a month? $120 a year? No way. Not while **I’m** the one providing the data you’re using. Should offer a “contributors” deal- provide details for 1 call a month, get access to known callers for $1 (but not the auto-update premium feature). Win-win.

As it stands, I reject most callers and search their numbers after, so enforcing the subscription for “show at time of call” is only doing them a disservice…

Used to be good

Only good feature available was when someone called it’d identify who it was if possible, now, you just see ‘upgrade to premium’ whenever someone calls which is a pretty trash move from developers

Other than that, this application is absolutely useless & does exactly what free online tools do sooo bye bye 👋
