  • Changed my mind about this app - don't buy it

The first couple of days this app seemed to work perfectly. However, as soon as I attempted to set a different playlist to listen to in the car, the app ceased to work. I emailed the developer and he helped me get it to work again, but it's working intermittently and I've inexplicably lost functionality that I initially had (I can't move fwd and back tracks with my head unit controls; artist and track info no longer appears; if I forget to hit pause in the app when I stop the car, the music begins playing out of the iPhone). Bottom line: there's as much hassle using this app as without it. I think the problem is that, with all of the elements involved here (bluetooth, iOS, the iPod app, the car's head unit, how it's wired in the car, etc.), it's just too complex for a kludgy work-around app to handle, unless you're a serious techie. I'm reasonably technical, but I'm no iOS programmer, and I couldn't get this sorted out. And, please note that there is no documentation whatsoever for this app. Unless you want to write the developer, which works until his patience wears thin, you're on your own.

So, for the rest of us, what needs to happen is for Apple to step up to the plate and to write the ability to selectively turn on/off bluetooth elements in the next version of iOS

  • Doesn't work like I expected!

It won't work in the background, so useless to work with other apps as it keeps turning off. I would like my money back!
I just wait for Bluetooth to connect then plug in iPod, it is far easier than faffing around with this app.
Oh in case I haven't mentioned it ………… money back please?
  • Simply does not work!

    Does not work as advertised.

I can't play music using the iPod controls. I can't clear the playback queue AND as soon as you exit the app it stops working even though it's still running in the background. I want my money back!
  • Doesn't work.

Emailed creator. Still no response. Was hopeful it would work but didn't. Waste of money. IOS5 with latest update.
  • Works with my Bluetooth headset

I have a plantronics Bluetooth headset and been wanting to listen music through my headset and I bought this app works like a charm except for 1 thing that I would hope it would come out for an update is that while exiting out of the app and still in the background I could still listen to music it's REALLY annoying how once your out of the app or it's in sleep mode it stops the music

PLEASE update for it to be ABLE while out of the app thank you!!!!!!!

I'll write another review once the update for that one is out 5 STARS I swear!!!

  • I've had this same problem for months!

Ever since I got my new car, I've been dealing with this problem. Finally, someone has come along and read my mind. I have been looking for this feature in iOS for months, and finally, now I have it! Great app, thanks!
  • Doesn't work

I have a 2010 Hyundai Tucson that has a dock connector that plugs right into the bottom of the iPhone so you can control music from the steering wheel, issue is when you start the car the car connects to the phone via Bluetooth and then switches the audio source to Bluetooth rather than the dock connector and kills audio then I have to go into the music app and manually switch it back to the dock connector. This app makes you add all your songs to it plus you have to keep it open in order for it to "work" so now when I plug my phone into the car with this app running you hear 2 songs playing at the same time not to mention it did not solve the issue of the audio being routed away from the dock connector to Bluetooth

  • It worked

While it took a moment to make it work, it finally did. For those of you that have a Volvo Sensus system issue, it will work until either Apple or Volvo has a patch. Make sure to bring down the built-in volume to zero to avoid 2 songs playing simultaneously. Only drawback: can't use other apps while this is in the foreground. Forget texting and driving :)

  • Very good app; needs to run in background

This app works great on my 2011 Explorer. It is not only convenient but an improvement in safety since you don't have to unplug and replug the connector to the usb port everytime you start the vehicle. But the app really needs to run in the background so you don't have to start and stop it all the time when you want bluetooth stereo playback blocked.

  • works like a charm

works perfectly on my new 2012 Volvo S60- you also must set queue volume slider to zero (tap queue bar to access) ... you must activate the app for it to work (I mistakenly thought just having it on the iphone was enough, it needs to be running) also i am using iphone 4s with ios5
