Outstanding and Unmatched
It's rare that an app designer makes me WANT to give them more of my money. Positive Grid, as a company, just gets it. All of their apps offer outstanding value. JamUp Pro XT offers an excellent and diverse array of spot-on amp sims and effects. On the infrequent occasions I've needed it, I found their customer service to be very responsive. By contrast, before discovering JamUp, I used AmpliTube. The other app is pretty good too (though JamUp is better), but IK Multimedia's propensity for nickel and diming its customers (silly things like charging twice for the same app if you want it on your iPad and iPod Touch) forced me to look more closely at JamUp. I'm so glad I switched. If you're a guitar player who owns an iPad, and you don't own JamUp, you're seriously missing out on something very cool.Show lessTravelinBri

I've been looking for a guitar setup app like this since I didn't really have the money to go out and buy different pedals and amps, this really helps me experiment and develop as a guitarist. :)Namedcandy
Not working
Can't even play new levels. They just stay locked. I have 3 stars on every level of the game. Surely that would unlock the first level of the new update. But noooooooooo. First level is locked. Can't unlock it. Fix this issue.ACKLING

Really realistic sounding simulation, I love that you can add many effects of the same type; some sims will only allow for 1 modulation etc.
Definitely download the pack with Ola's amp. Worth it!Adam Dallas
Awesome! Great for recording
I wasn't so much interested in the amp modelling but wanted something easy to record with my iRig.
I tried Amplitube but thought it was awful. I tried this and paid the extra £2.99 to unlock a digital 8 track.
The recording is so easy to use. Recorded a song in no time.
Delighted with app. I'm using it on iPhone, guessing its even better with iPad.

Great app, almost perfect
This app is amazing, the sound quality is miles better than the garage band amp simulation that I was using, and as a result I upgraded to pro.
The only real problem is that now I have the bias app as well I have noticed that the amps I make in bias seem a lot more fizzy in jam up. I don't know if that's the app or just settings but it's an inconvenience... The app is still very good and I would defiantly recommend. Btw get the metal artist pack if you can... Excellent App
Perhaps the best guitar app in the effect and amp category. Amazing options (you really have to get some of the add-on content but I think it's worth it, especially when they run deals on the expansion packs), and you can arrange your effects in any order you can think of. I use the Apogee Jam converter with an iPhone and I can't believe what this can do. There is an eight-track recorder as add-on purchase, but I use the Multitrack DAW, and there is a loop and overdub too that I don't use (I use Looper HD). This is pro guitar setup and it does the job for recording music, songwriting, live gigs, jamming, and just messin around. I use it for voice and synth effects too!Show lessjsfarrah
