  • Fantastic

Best app of this type. Some great amp models etc. Well worth the money. Works really well on my ipod the sampler is useful as is the option 8 track. it would be great if there was a simple drum machine option available I would fork out a few quid for that for sure
  • Best guitar app

The most well-rounded guitar app. It's probably best to purchase the pro version right away. It lacks a preset library, but the sounds are good and the capabilities of the app are great.
  • Excellent

All in all its the best, we'll worth upgrading to buy all the extras. Under 40 quid for the lot. For me as a bedroom player I couldn't ask for any more. The sample app is great for slowing down songs and keeping the same pitch. The online community sharing centre is great too. Buy it
  • Extremely Impressive

This app is the best thing you can use other than maybe sitting down with the actual pedals and amps. I would use this over an Axe Fx, because there are more diverse models and the signal path system is as realistic as the Axe Fx is or (arguably)better. The thing only I'd change about Jamup is it having cabinet simulation, the reason I say that is then you could then use Jamup at whatever gig you want and have more control over your sound. I'd recommend this to anyone who doesn't have an amp or does, due to the seamless way this could be used for recording or running into a PA.

  • Oh dear

Really wanted to like this. Great tuner large knobs great layout etc. The problem is the quality of modeling, nothing gets close . Amplitube pretty much gets the flavour of the gear, for example the univibe sounds close to the original in Amplitube, sounds like an overmodulated phaser in jamup. Similarly the fender reverb sounds like an off the shelf room reverb nothing like a spring. The amps are OK but so so. Everything feels like huge effort put in to making it pretty, not enough effort put into the modeling sound. Shame another wasted app purchase in the unused folder and back to amplitube, not such a nice interface but a magnitude better amp sim. Hope this was helpful.

  • Great app

Got this app a month ago and used it ever since.. It's got every thing you need jam recorder jam player metronome multitrack recorder tuner ..
Honestly can't believe this app as I have paid for some of these separately and there not even as good as this .. Thank you
  • Bass player? Buy this now.

I bought this on the basis of the reviews alone, because Bass options for iOS are that bad. Anything had to be better.

This is not only better, it's great. I knew from the first minute with the GK RB-800 that this was worth the good reviews and every dollar spent. The Bass pack gives you four nice amp choices, I'd record with any one of them. Strong basic tone, responsive tone controls, great sound. I just threw in light reverb and EQ, and it was so good I had to shut it down and get back to work.

I haven't even tried the recorder yet, already I'm sold. I'm in my fortieth year of professional playing, and finding tools like this remind me why I started (there was the part about girls, but I already found a bunch of them). To the devs, great work. To the Bass players, stop reading and hit Install. You're welcome.

  • Jam Up

Great amount of choices, GFX and features but if I'm absolutely honest, I'm struggling to find the clean or overdrive sound that I've been looking for. I tend to judge apps/plugins on the simple stuff not all the bells and whistles. I wanted so much from this app and to a point it delivers but I suppose I should stop comparing it to Guitar Rig which is another level. Def worth a buy but not quite there yet!

  • Best amp sim app

This is the best amp sim I have used on a phone. I got it for when I am noodling on guitar in the living room and bedroom. I upgraded to the jamup pro pack for a few effects. The range of sounds is incredible. I have zero latency even with the thing turned off. I would use this to practice to save lugging gear to practice room. I wouldn't use it in a gig just in case somebody rang.

  • Best guitar app

If you play guitar and have an ipad then you want this app. You may not know you want it yet, which is why you're reading reviews and wondering if its better than the competition. There IS no competition in terms of value for money and tonal quality to this app. Pro's - you get a truckload of the most coveted amps and pedals in the world for the cost of a round of drinks. Cons - none. Improvements - better import options with other apps for backing tracks and in-app file sharing between sampler and 8 track recorder would be nice.
