  • This game is a work of art

Playing EDGE was the first time I came across a game on the iPhone that could go toe to toe with anything for a dedicated gaming platform. The concept, art, and music are top notch. To think a patent troll got this gem taken off the app store for a while is a maddening thought.

EDGE Extended is even more of the goodness I expected from Mobigame. Having this game in full Retina Display glory on my iPhone 4 and available on my iPad makes me very happy.

  • Qubert/Tron/Mario

Edge is the best and most original platformer I have ever played on an iDevice. What is most amazing is how the game continues to surprise, even with such a simple game style... very much like the iconic platformers of the 8-16 bit era. My only complaint? I would have loved to have played this game with an actual button controller. The game uses pressure to determine the amount of power in your tilts (much like Mario's jump). The touch-based controls are workable, but not nearly as responsive or exact as a real button would feel. This critical movement will become especially apparent on the last story level. Good luck.

  • Edge Extended is Superb

Simply a delight to play and the soundtrack is effective in immersing you in the complex platform world. Highly recommended.
  • This is where it's at. Period.

I was looking for some puzzle and labyrinth type games on here and I stumbled upon this marvelous game. Really simple control, interesting and amusing maps and graphics. Put simply, this game is so much fun and completely addictive. I stayed up until 4 in the morning playing this game... That statement should justify it's value pretty well. I recommend this game to anyone looking to have some simple, even adrenaline-pumping fun.

  • Controls

This game is brilliant!!!!!! My only criticism is the controls. The best type of control is definitely the arrows (in my opinion) but they're just not big enough. If it had an option for the size of the arrows then this game would be amazing!
  • An Incredible Puzzler

Once you pick your favorite control scheme, out of the three offered, you'll find yourself sucked away into this well designed puzzle game. There's nothing else quite like it!

The visual effects are candy for your eyes. A mix between arcadey flashiness and geometric simplicity.

The sound effects and music are excellent! Everything from the plop of your cube-shaped avatar to the crisp "ding" from pressing on a menu button; it all just works. You'll know what I mean when you play it.

Finally the gameplay. If you've never played this series before, you'll be amazed at how they take such a simple object and expand it into such a large set of mechanics. The puzzles are well thought out, and the difficulty is paced perfectly. Every single thing you can do with this cuboid character is explored in ways you would not expect.

    Definitely an A++

  • Great for all ages!

This is a fantastic game with a reliable platform, it is a basic game but yet extremely addictive. I recommend this game to anybody who is thinking of buying, it is worth while!😄
  • Edge :extended

Really fun game with a different challenge every level. Involves heaps of different ways to finish each level. Easy controls make puzzles more exciting because you can go almost anywhere. Defiantly money worth. 5 stars :)
  • At last!

Exactly what any fan could have hoped for: just like the first game, with a bit of fine-tuning and a few neat surprises. The excellent-to-start-with graphics are even sharper and there are some new tunes (and a black cube), but basically it's more Edge, with puzzles that are every bit as good. Perfection. I love this game so much. Developers, I would happily send you money.

Update: I'm joining other reviewers in saying that level 41, Final Clash, seemed impossible. I finally got through it after hundred of tries, but I think it is too hard (the iPhone was not primarily designed for gaming, after all). I'd suggest the developers tweak it. But it was almost worth all that hell to get to the brilliant couple of puzzle levels at the end. More puzzles, less precision!

  • Best Game!

It has everything I want in an iPhone and iPad game. Simple gameplay, innovative ideas, a variety of retro music and impossible levels. The best idea is the edge stalling which makes the game even more challenging. For first timers try the D-Pad controls because they are the easiest.
