In experiments using EEG, we have found that sound created by specific musical instruments, such as tenor sax, harp, and piano, cause the brain to create theta waves, which are brain waves associated with mediation and the early stages of sleep. As a result of this research, renowned composer Norihiko Hibino created the four songs in this app especially for the purpose of helping listeners achieve a relaxed state. Special microphones were used to pick up the subtleties of the instruments, and the recordings were mixed and mastered in 24-bit 96KHz, in a way that is optimized for iOS devices.
