App works well well with OLD devices
After writing a negative review from trying to use my device. I decided to try with an old phone I had that no longer receives updates. App worked flawless with the old phone.
I have used the app with my new phone. iPhone 12 mini. But after a couple years the 12 mini no longer worked with the app.
Hope this helps. Still don’t recommend the app. But this might make it possible to use for some.

Outdated
I almost never leave app reviews but this one is junk. I had this on a 2005 Mustang GT and the unit itself died, luckily SCT sent another. The app barely works at this point, and now on my 2010 Explorer I can get it returned to stock because every time I click “program” the app locks up and freezes. Junk.Show lesstonyono
Waste of $$
This is the worst app/ tuner. Never connects and when it does it takes 15 mins and you have to “forget” the Bluetooth device every time to reconnect and reset the device. Such a waste of $$$hockysniper9
Nothing but problems from day one
Been fight with this thang for year. Now got no light, it use to be bad enough repairing resetting over and over. So much money feel down drain. Can’t get any help, wish they would give me back money or replace with one they know works. So disappointed also click last thing app support goes to page that does not

Derive app is horrible as is this
I have the x4 tuner not sure at this point of tuner is just a horrible unit itself or if the only apps available to run it are the problem but I can’t get it to connect to any of my iPhones or iPad. It works fine on computer but I can’t drag my pc out to the car . The derive app o can’t even locate to add to my phone e to see if it will work there. It this app doesn’t do anything . Needs updates
App shuts down every time gives me hell to connect the device and every time it fines a code unable to see the code apl just freezes over you have to close it to be able to work with it again app really needs an update completely put of date and issues still pending on app.Rubieredgt
App crashes
Whenever I try to view saved data files, the app crashes. Tuning feature works great, but sometimes the phone doesn’t connect to the tuner and I have to forget it on the Bluetooth menu and reconnect itHzfhhjcfussgkksdccggfdtf
For $399 this *should* be better than it is
Free app, but if you’re shelling out $399 for tuner one expects more than just a file upload and ECU flash utility - and that’s basically all this is. There is little to no documentation on how to use the other available portions of the app to address the timer. Update firmware for the tuner doesn’t work. It’s really sad and disappointing. I’ll likely never buy another SCT product because of how this is not supported and my last experience with their RMA & Tech support processes. Just save yourself the aggravation and pound sand - at least that’s priced appropriately.Show lesstravcam.com
