Unreliable 😡

It’s annoying to think a company that I’m sure invests a lot in technology fails to have an app that simply works …. The app keeps pausing content especially while live streaming it happens all the time and repeatedly and you have to continuously switch off and on the stream to actually watch anything the It may be me but I’ve tried on different devices and different internet platforms.. mobile data and WiFi same thing . I’ve had poor service and watching experience all the time. But regardless we’ll try to watch

You can’t watch big match without stopping even when you use 100mbps

Issues many users are experiencing on DStv now app

I have written this review to let you know the issue I have been having from your app. The app keeps showing a black screen before it even finishes loading with a message that says that “device unsupported make sure you are not running a modified version of iOS” ,all this started when I updated the app. Please bring back the previous version of this app because I can no longer stream my favorite shows 😥🙏.your positive response on this regard will be highly appreciated! And that includes a five star rating from me and the whole of my friends

Always issues

Sometimes you get a 401 error
At times you have to refresh the app when you leave a channel and come back to it.
Needs some major updates and bug fixes please

Network error

It used to be perfect. But at the time when it should be getting better, the app is not accessible siting not network.
There are four users connected to my account and non of us is able to view anything. I have contacted the customer care several times and provided information but this has not resolved the issue.
I have deleted and downloaded the app more than 3 times as guided by the customer care team but this did not resolve the issue either.
I now wonder if this app is still fully operational.

Poor live streaming

Wrote a review about the streaming service being bad to watch and follow, the developer replied me with “happy viewing”…. Like seriously? Have you even tried to fix the issue? Don’t tell me happy viewing when am not happy with what am viewing

*the streaming service is so poor it buffers every 10 seconds, it is not enjoyable at all

It would be better if you would allow multitasking viewing on the mobile phone

Video quality

The picture quality kept adjusting itself from time to time... other than that, everything’s perfect

Bugs

I prefer the last update of the dstv was way better than this current update on my iPhone 7+
It’s got some issues and I prefer the last updat more than this to be honest
Live streaming soccer doesn’t allow me to reply to any message pop ups but the previous one use to allow me to respond
And once I respond on this current one it kind of rewinds itself and starts playing itself from behind and then later starts loading for a long time
The previous one never use to do this and thats why I would have given you a 5star if the dstv app was stable

Please release another that’s normal

Channels buffer nonstop

The channels keep buffering when I use Google Chromecast. I then have to unlink the TV, close the app, reopen it etc and when I come back, the channel has rewound about 10 mins, so I have to close and delink again, come back and then when I open it and go to the channel and then it’s all in order.

Other times is buffers and then continues but the sound is about 10 mins behind. So again I have to close, delink etc.

It happens maybe 15 times a day. I have videos of it all if you’d like to see.

I have done Speedtest and I am always fine around 30mb/s. Netflix and Showmax work fine, so it’s definitely this app. I’ve also deleted and reinstalled the app numerous times. I’ve also done the log out log in thing but it just always fails.

I have missed so many important moments in tv because of this and it’s so, so frustrating.
