Internet connection error

It’s been giving me internet connection error messages for the longest time , even when I’ve checked , double and tripled check that there’s an active internet connection for this app, I can’t be the only one experiencing this right!!

PROTEST

Please, I want you to review the concept of allowing ONLY one device to use DSTV now app. Maybe you consider those of us that are on PREMIUM bouquet. Besides, if it is raining, most times ,one cannot connect with the decoder as it would be breaking, but our DSTV NOW is always active. Please reconsider the number of devices that are allowed at a time if only for a large family like mine and I also we that pay yearly.

No Picture in Picture for App

I gave three stars for the inability of the app to do picture in picture. Wake up people….should be there by now. I love to watch my shows while getting something else done…

Can’t watch matches

This is distinct for the iPhone version of this app which is very messed up. Premier league channel 203 is useless whenever a match starts and that is why I subscribe. I literally don’t watch anything else. I have checked with other iPhone users and they have the same complaint. I have been complaining but no difference. I have even sent a mail, chatted with a rep but my frustration keeps piling. Do something fast!

Trash

Works when it feels like it, and that's not often. Buffers and stutters, then freezes constantly. Have to keep restarting it. A nightmare when viewing live sport. At times it doesn't load movie from last viewed point. Have to scrub from 0:00. Has no Currently Watching row to get you back to the movie you were watching - you have to search for it. So many more problems By 2021 standards this app is garbage and a huge source of frustration. Multichoice, do better.

You can do better because we deserve way more

Premium Customer since 2017. All of a sudden, DSTV (which by the way has the monopoly in SA) decides to reduce the number of user of the DSTV app to 1! The reason? To combat password sharing. Why do honest and law abiding customers need to pay the price? Who was sitting in that room and made that decision ?

There is Channel 132(CBS reality) on the app that has been stuck on the same spot for months. Each time you select that channel on the app it shows you the same scene, and it has been like that for months. But who cares at DSTV? They are too busy punishing the right customers because few customers are in the wrongs. Mind blowing

I struggle with receiving my monthly invoices. It is systematic: in a quarter there is at least one month missing. And the struggle I go through to get that missing invoice is incredible. Such a basic right yet DSTV doesn’t care fixing it. but again who cares at DSTV? They are too busy punishing the right customers because few customers are in the wrongs. In the meantime there are wrongs in its own system that DSTV doesn’t care fixing. That’s what monopoly does to customer service

APPLE TV APP NEEDS AN URGENT UPDATE

The user interface is not user friendly and requires urgent attention. Maybe if you consider placing the epg vertically as a pop out menu rather than at the bottom as it is very difficult to scroll through the programmes as the Apple TV remote is small. The App is also very slow in updating the programme guide and most times it requires you to exit the app completely in order to allow the channel list to update.

Absolutely rubbish app

I wish I could give -ve stars. The app is always freezing and buffering and before you go on to say it’s connection, every other app/ streaming service works perfectly on the same connection except this one. It also consumes so much data for something that barely even work. Fix up whatever it is that’s the problem. Dstv really a waste of it weren’t for the prem

Just a follow up on this, it’s mad cause you just released an update yet this problem still persists. Absolute disgrace.

Hi Jdp2990, Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the app is not available off of the continent of Africa. Unfortunately you will not be able to stream on the app as we do not have the rights to broadcast content in Australia.

The Dstv App is great

Great app to have if your stuck in traffic and don’t want to miss your favorite shows
