Leave a Review Apps Gone Free & Daily Tips
I loved this app
I loved finding fun games—even though I’m pretty hopeless at making them work, despite being not stupid—photography apps, notes, writing—the gamut. Some make regular appearances, like the hobby train layouts, myriad calculators, and a new category—AI image generation. Generous developers offer lifetime premium versions, although I’ve noticed that some of them expire before the end of the day while other lifetime offers extend beyond the one day.
So why am I dropping my review to 3 stars? With the proliferation of rental apps there’s been an equal, or faster decrease in the ones we can actually own. It didn't affect the apps offered until quite recently but there have been changes. I’ve been seeing fewer apps to purchase and more offering a month or 6 months “free trial,” and fewer offering the lifetime option.Show lessPretend prices
I’ve been using this site for years, over the last few months AppAdvice has become a joke, pretending that some apps actually cost $99 to make us think we’re in for a good deal, then you have to mess about to get the lifetime version of the app, sorry it’s become boring now,go back to the way you wereIt's a great app but....
It's a really great app but I wish they would stop featuring apps that are asking for a subscription as well. If they do that then those apps aren't free.... It's only free for a limited time period... Also when featuring apps they should be featured for say 5 hours and should not be allowed to be taken down immediately after being submitted for free download. I've noticed that some apps only appear for free on this app for about an hour and then they're taken down... Also due to my score it is impossible to contact the app developer. After using the app today I noticed that there was one app that says it's free but it's not. This goes back to my point about featuring apps. They should be featured for a minimum of five hours. Developers should not be able to withdraw their app.
Found out today as well that some apps released for free are not free and you actually do have to pay for them.Show less
