I have always loved the great coverage that KRON4 has to offer. But lately I am irritated by the commercials that pop up on the top of the screen. I don’t mind that they are there and I understand the business purpose of the existence. My issue is the automatic volume that comes blaring on. I read the news in the morning and cannot see more about the subject because I can’t control the sound or level until I can hit the off button ASAP. I have woken up children and spouse due to this unasked for interruptions. I find it so irritating that I don’t sang to read the articles any more.Show lesspuzzle crazi
I Love KRON4
I so appreciate getting local news and at a very reasonable subscription price. However I find it difficult to negotiate my way around the app. I’ll get a news flag on my front screen and it does not open to that article directly & it is not necessarily intuitive where to look for it. Also, I’m not sure if it’s the app or my phone but the videos time out so I don’t use them. Regardless, thank you KronOn!Show lessArlene2

KRON does a great job of broadcasting the latest Fire & evacuation info during wildfires. This BayA Native is able to monitor & share info with loved ones on social media from my iPad on Maui. Friends in NorCal can download app & watch when the power is out if they have cell coverage or wi-fi. Great community service! Highly recommended and appreciated.Show lessshellsurf
Notifications mysteriously keep reenabling
The app is good for the most part, but once a week or so I notice that more and more non-important alerts keep popping up in my notifications. I go into the app, and, sure enough, alerts like “Trending Now” are reenabled automatically. I shut them all off except for “News Alerts” and the process repeats itself later. It’s getting very annoying.
I’m still keeping an eye out for a better local news app that doesn’t spam me with superfluous notifications in attempts to harvest more clicks.Show lessShawn c
Stories Not Available TOO QUICKLY
Too often, in fact, most often when I open an alert on my cell about a news story posted that same day has already been removed. Very frustrating. It’s so frequent, I’ve learned to not even bother trying to access the story older than a day using the KRON app and look for the story elsewhere. It’s getting so bad I’m even thinking of even deleting the app.Show lessHerbonly
App needs work
Really wish there were more customization options for notifications by topic or regions of the Bay Area. I get so many KRON4 notifications that aren’t relevant to what I need to know or care about. The app is also glitchy sometimes, such as the videos don’t play right, even if I’m connected to good WiFi.Show lesscake_mix

Cancelling Option for Dan Mateo
I do not understand why KRON is cancelling their alliance with the service provider that connects lower income people to KRON.
Many can not afford the high prices of cable/Comcast/ Direct/etc. So they have to subscribe to lower tier services.
Now KRON is cutting ties so these people will not be getting this news info. Why??Show lessMorenowg

Application is a perpetual glitch
It’s like an 80’s application, I’ve downloaded the app in my fire stick to watch the news but it gets stuck every 5 minutes and right now I have 30 minutes in silence watching the Traffic, is like a horror movie and I’ll be on it in 30 minutes when I start driving to work!DianaPepe
