  • Simply the most fun I've had on an iOS title.

Really, please just pick up the lite version, try your favorite song, preferably something with major highs and lows, or just something minor and quiet, and you'll have it fully purchased in no time. The cascading colors, brilliant use of music tie in from YOUR DEVICE, and it all being accompanied by a wealth of features to modify your experience or just give reason to keep playing has made this IMO the most worthwhile app store purchase I've made. So long as you have music you have days worth of gameplay, if you don't? Well that's why it has some great radio stations, yes radio stations, that you can play for as long as you please, as hard as you please, as intense as you please. A completely custom and excellent ride for each person to buy it. Props to the developer, I highly indorse and love this product. A true spectacle for the eyes and ears.

  • One word: EPIC. BUT...

In fact, this game is BEYOND epic. I've always loved music-based games, and the fact that this game runs COMPLETELY on MY MUSIC is just the icing on the cake~! My only gripe is that you can't select an album or playlist from your iTunes library to just let run through while you're playing, especially on Survivor mode or Chill Out mode. Add this feature somehow, and this game will be PERFECT. It's already five-stars as it is, and adding these features will, in my personal opinion, make this already addictive game pretty much impossible to put down...

UPDATE: The recent update makes the screen feel too cramped. Before, it was easier to tell which direction enemies were coming from. Now, it seems too cramped and difficult to see enemies on the very edges of the screen. Fix this back and this game will be just as great as before. Still five stars, but I'd like to see this situation remedied as well as support for Japanese characters, as many others have already pointed out. ; ) A great game can only get better, yes? ^^

  • Beat Hazard (v1.6 update)

With one of the latest updates Beat Hazard changes an in-app purchasable item the Golden Ship, so that it gives you a score bonus if you buy it. Although this only costs $1, It is no longer just an aesthetic item and affects the way you play the game; meaning you will have to spend $1 in order to optimise your score - which in my opinion is a blatant exploit of the consumer.

The game itself is good enough to warrant a purchase, but morally I'm against this in-app item and advise against buying it, even considering I had access to it before the score bonus change.

  • My eyes are bleeding!

This game ROCKS! The lighting effects on this game are firkin amazing especially on the iPad in the dark tho be careful not many games these days still come with a health warning before you play! Such a fun game to play, using your iTunes library to dictate the level intensity and length, also u get a free music visualiser, I'd highly recommend this if you like games like, asteroids, geometry wars or tempest then you'll love this!

  • The Very Best Of Music And Shooting Combination EVER!!!!!

To start off saying that this is a very good shooter would be insulting to this game. It's the first of its kind to add so much but yet remains so simple to understand yet very demanding of time and reflex skills to listen and shoot your way to the very highest rating that you can get. I absolutely recommend this game to everyone that has the iPad or iPod touch......, hell everyone that can get there hands on a copy of this. Very few games stand out to me. Hell this is one of my very few reviews, but had to tell the publisher that he or she did an outstanding job. I am not here to ask for more just here to say thank you for the time you spent making such a good game. I got some very good music to choose from like Live A Little Love...which is very good for this game and some radio channels which is just genius. Only looking forward to upgrades in time. One again great game 5 out of 5 always can be improved,,, but still the best of it kind PERIOD THANKS FOR READING...

  • Amazing, but...

This game is brilliant, it looks great and the way it throws addictive and exciting gameplay at you in tune with your very own music is intuitive and very well achieved. It would be a perfect app if not for the issue I've had where the game has crashed as it loads my score at the end of a song. It is seriously annoying when you reach the end of a song on insane difficulty without dying only for the app to crash and take you back to your iPhone menu screen (WITHOUT saving your progress). If this bug can be fixed, this will be a faultless five star app for me.

  • Ahaa

Seriously hooked! Playing on iPad2, Great arcade with your own soundtrack, each track determines the length of the game. Would love to create a playlist and/or choose how many tracks you can play in a single game. I've only just started so still to find out what other perks and unlocks to discover. New ships or add ons, maybe multi-player, themes and more stages?
Visualiser is Great but would love to see more like 'G-Force' by Soundspectrum, themes, colour palette etc.
An idea.. Allow a beat matching game between tracks?? ;)

  • Beat hazard

I want to stat by saying beat hazard is one of my favorite ps3 games if not the best ps3 game. It is perfect almost. On the iPad though no fault of the developer it's controls are not great. Why Apple won't put wifi controller support in the iPad or stereo speakers is a puzzle. And if this game were to support it, it would be perfect here too. iPad is a broken gaming platform and beat hazard does the best it can on it. Get it on ps3, 10/10 for ps3.

  • Awesome

Bro, this game will blow up, you just wanna keep on playing. If this was kfc... Its finger lickin good.
  • Amazing!

This is the best music app in the app store to date, it seamlessly integrates your library with the game and runs so smoothly, I'm using an original iPad and loading is quick with no visible lag when playing even though the lighting effects are so astonishing. There is absolutely no excuse to not get this game when it's FREE! So crank up the daft punk and try to avoid seizures. Good gaming all!
