I have two of these pedals and buying more as they are a bargain.
All the pedals are now free in the shop. But the app ONLY works with original Apple Lightning adapter! No 3rd party adapters work.Ignitor

Since the actual pedal has dropped in price (£35 from Gear4Music and others) I had to buy Two.
I love it, , now the actual downloadable pedals are free too and I'm wondering why something this good has got so cheap rather than the other way round.
Is it because they don't intend developing it any further, or the connection hardware won't keep up with new devices.
Other companies like TC Electronics and Zoom are connecting wirelessly, didn't Digitec figure that one out?
Anyway, I'm still recommending this, it's brilliant, for £35 you have almost 50 high quality and very usable pedals at your disposal.

Make sure your Phone compatible
I bought this pedal without testing it first. The distortion already loaded on worked okay, but neither my iPhone 4 or 4s could connect to the pedal. So make sure your phone can connect!Brauner19
Near future ghostware?
I bought three istomps when these came out have used at least 10 of the pedals. Usually works on my iPhone 5s although plate reverb just causes the stomp shop to crash.
There is a fantastic selection of pedals and all high quality.
The reason for the low rating is that Digitech has not introduced any new pedals in at least two years it seems, nor have they updated this app since 2013. I'm afraid the lack of attention to the software may soon turn my expensive Digitech hardware into non-functional obsolescence...
If they just introduced new pedal or two and an update each year, that would give me enough confidence that they care about the product and its future for users to rate this five stars.Show lessMChild62
Underrated, awesome but seemingly forgotten
This is incredible, the variety and quality of the pedals is amazing. I thought this was the future of pedals and while Digitech had trouble at launch, it never seemed to recover. So I beg Digitech- please update this, we haven't seen new pedals in way too long!Guerrillaemail

This app is designed to work with Digitecs istomp, which in itself is a superb sounding guitar stomp box...
Each of the virtual pedals are downloaded to the istomp via the included cable which can then be disconnected and it's then ready to use.
Downloading the virtual pedals to the istomp is very easy and takes only 30 seconds or so to do.
The virtual pedals themselves are VERY good and include some superb emulations of real classic effects pedals.
Delays, chorus, reverb (including a nice Lexicon emulation), overdrive, distortion and many more are available and I found each and every one of them very usable...
Well done for releasing such an innovative guitar effects pedal backed up by a flawless app to load the various effects with a nice looking and intuitive user interface.

Crashes a lot
Crashes very often when trying to load pedals. A crash also always leaves the iStomp with nothing loaded on it. Needs an app force close and restart, then a cable reconnection to right itself. But even that doesn't guarantee that another crash isn't coming. Frustrating, because this whole iStomp/Stomp Shop thing is otherwise pretty fantastic.Show lessTicoJPunkOne

Too bad Digitech cannot admit that none of their solutions work to get the stomp box to work with the iPhone 5S!! Yes I have Apples 30-pin to Lightening adapter! Great Pedal
So far, so good. I haven't experienced any of the software issues that some of the reviewers have had. I've owned a lot of high quality analog pedals and have never been a fan of digital effects. But this one is pretty damn good. Good enough that I mounted it to my pedal board, use it every show, and reprogram it to different effects between sets...without issue. Sound quality is great, and it's compatible with my power source, so no need for extra power adapters or batteries. All in all, I thinks it's a great little pedal.Show lessO.R.C.
