  • Does what it says

Works as a remote camera for iStopMotion and does do flawlessly and simply.
  • Works, sort of

I had some problems connecting the iPhone camera. I could connect the camera and capture images when starting a new project, but couldn't get the iPhone camera to connect for an existing file. Hopefully the developer will work on this issue.
  • Constantly quits on iPod touch

The moment you click on the remote camera name on the ipad the remote camera app crashes! It did work now after update it's broke.
    Please fix this ASAP.
  • Needs a little more options

This is ok if you are intending to use the $50 software with your iPhone, but I like most, purchased the app to work with or DSLR cameras. It lacks any real control I was hoping this app would feature. It would be great to be able to control the basic recording/frame features mirrored to the phone. I gave it a 2 star because I will never use my iPhone as a camera. I'll use my DSLR.

  • I like this app

I like this app because stopmotion was a project i had to do in school.
  • Very costly for a simple program....but great fun

After seeing this on the Gadget show (good marketing there) my 9 year old son said we must have it. After seeing the price I said no, we mustn't. After a bit of persuasion I got it.
I can't find any issues with the app itself. It's very easy to use, stable and great fun. The remote camera app for iPhone has been used a lot, my son uses the two devices as a make shift CCTV to spy on his brother.
Overall, it does what it should, does it very well and I don't regret purchasing it, but I can't see why it's price is so high.

  • Cool but...

It's great sometimes it works but sometimes the wifi won't work IF you get it be warned it MIGHT work but overall it's really good I acutely only got it cause its on the gadget show so I'm getting a iPad and ill see if it works then but I recommend it!!!
  • Works beautifully, needs other connection options

I’ve been playing around with this for a few days, and really enjoying it. It’s a lot of fun! It’s hard to review just the Remote Camera app, but here goes: it’s simple to use, has a clear interface that works well even when the camera is being held in a strange position, such as in a clamp to get a proper view of the scene. (I do highly recommend a clamp or some other mount, by the way.) Minimizing tapping is important, to avoid jarring the camera while taking a shot, and I think they manage that well.

My one complaint is that it uses Bonjour for discovery, without documenting that fact. My WiFi router doesn’t support Bonjour, which led to a great deal of hair-pulling. Bluetooth or manual IP address entry would solve this easily. Right now, the workaround is to create an ad-hoc network with my Mac laptop, which works reasonably well but is a little bit of a pain.

  • Usually

Usually when I see people's reviews that the app doesn't open, it opens for me. But not this time, it doesn't open!!! Waste of time. And I think the movies in the theater aren't even made in the app I stop motion. Not even worthy of a star. This was stupid
