  • Meh

I was expecting much more. There are only a few groups to choose from and each group only has around 3 - 5 types of sounds. Many of the sounds do not fit into D&D gameplay, and a lot of them are more annoying than adding to the excitement of gameplay. I believe the creator of this app had a good idea in mind, but fell quite short on the production.

1 star for the additional feature of the die
    1 star for trying
-3 stars for the price. I've seen many apps out on the market that clearly took many months or even years to create and they only cost 99 cents. This app came across as sorta slapped together in a couple days and charged $3 for it.

To the creator: I do believe this is a fantastic idea, but your choice of sounds was a little poor. Town sounds were good, but the battle sounds should not sound like a 1982 field battle in a field. Possibly try mixing it up. Get a lot more ambient music and just general music that gets the blood pumping.

Also, what I highly recommend is to offer a LOT more sounds to work with. You included maybe 20 altogether, for $3 that doesn't even strike it.

  • Pretty impressive.

    Pricey, but effective.
Needs more content, Nature -> River for example. Plane of water suffices, but the dripping noises are a little out of place.

Also a mute? For when the background isn't wanted, I'd rather have it fade away than simply stop by closing the app.
  • Fantastic, a must have for board gamers, war gamers, RPGs, any gamer!

The initial thought before purchasing was that it was going to be very cheesy and gimmicky, but after scrolling through the various libraries, I was blown away! It definitely brings so much ,ore to my games!

Of course you can upload your own creations, music, etc. which is brilliant, but the one thing I can't wait for is more content! They say more content coming soon, please!

My games of Mansions of Madness has been elevated to the next level, I want to bring this up for my games of Malifaux, Bushido, Warmahordes, etc. Keep up the good work! Can't wait for future content!

  • Good app

Great app and worth the money however could do with d3 and d2 dice added as standard.
  • Great App

A really useful DM tool with a great variety of background ambiences and a nice range of special effects to choose from including animal sounds and the full range of weapon sounds. Also has a different sounds for night/day and 3 different background intensity levels. Worth every cent and more. A handy little feature is the dice roll choices and advanced setting which allow you to design your own rolls for enemies including any relevant mods. As a relatively new DM I recommend it highly.

A few shortcut buttons to load with specific sound effects would be a good idea for future updates.

  • Great app!

I'm a new GM trying to go all out on my game, and we haven't used ambient music before. Can't wait to try it out.

A few requests to the developer*
    - As others have said, an option to create a playlist of saved tracks would be awesome
    - An easier/ quickly accessible volume control between ambient sounds and music
    - Perhaps a tab for a soundboard would work easier to set up both playlists and sound effects, to keep from slowing down the GM when they're in the flow
    - Scrolling through the sounds/music would be preferred
    - Being able to play in the background while running other apps is essential

Other than that, an awesome app I look forward to use, and with more developments hopefully in the future, a definite recommendation to my gamer friends. :)

  • Great audio

Just love the immersive sounds and music. Just add airplay streaming and you get 5 stars from me.
  • Bring on the sound effects!

I used this in a meeting to describe a project I was demonstrating. It was awesome. Then I used it in one of my games and my players loved it.

I'm excited for the updates to come out with more sounds and music.

One request: please add a button to turn off environmental sound effects. Once they're on, they're on! (If there's an off button already, make it easier to find. The interface could use a bit more interaction design work. )

  • Missing only one thing

This app is fantastic, but it lacks one thing: the ability to create a custom mix of environment and music, and then assign that mix to a hot button. Having say, 10 of these would enable fast, one-touch switching between audio cues. If used consistently, those cues will be all my players need to know what type of situation they are in. In short, great app, awesome idea, but this one feature could make it unbeatable!
