  • Top quality training and tech support!

I downloaded the free version of Erol Singer’s Studio over 11 years ago, in 2013. I loved it, so I went ahead and bought additional features and exercises. I finally ended up buying the perpetual use version, and loved it even more! I worked with it on a daily basis, and it most definitely did wonders for my ear training, pitch, range and overall singing expertise. I took a break from it for the past few years, focused on getting a degree and working. When I came back, I saw that a subscription was needed to use all the features I had been using. I contacted Erol Suppot and Arda replied immediately. She said that all original users who had purchased the perpetual version would be grandfathered in by simply pressing “restore purchases.” It worked, and I now have full access to the app and all the training exercises! I highly recommend this app as the best singing app available (I have tired a few others, and they can’t compare). They also have the best tech support who really responds to individual problems and concerns. All the training exercises can be adjusted to your particular range, and they give you instant feedback about how you did. It’s almost like having a voice teacher on hand whenever you need them! If I didn’t have the full access because of the purchase I made 11 years ago, I would still pay the $50 a year for full use of the app. It really is the best singing app available, in my opinion.

  • Good app…but

I’m tired of being treated like a pirate by this app. It will periodically tell me that I do not have permissions for the content and only reinstalling it fixes it. This also removes all progress.
  • one star for nagging for a review every lesson

Three stars for the app mostly because it’s way expensive compared to other apps in the store. Will make the most of my subscription, but won’t be renewing.

Sorry to hear about the glitch. We use an Apple-provided control for the rating prompt, which should limit requests to 3 times per year. Could you send us a video showing the rating request appearing twice in a row after two lessons? You can simply open and close lessons to trigger this faster. Use the Problem Report button to generate an email to contact us. We’ll use the video to contact Apple and investigate. It’s especially odd in your case, because you had already rated the app, so you shouldn’t have gotten any new requests. Thanks for your help!
  • Great app once you learn to tune it to your voice

It took a hot minute for me to figure out how to tune it to my voice I’m brand new to vocals and had no idea what my range was. So female singer here and I had it set to male baritone and was just bombing and let the app hang out on my phone. Gave it a go and messed around and figured out how to set it to my voice . I am not sure it’s quite right because it doesn’t seem to have an auto detect feature for your voice type. It feels like the exercises are closer though to my voice.

I have just started using this app consistently like daily for maybe 3 weeks now and my vocal teacher has said she hears and sees a significant difference and improvement in my voice and posture when I sing.

I recommend this app if you have any experience already and or a vocal coach. As a brand new person with no experience the app for me was awkward for figuring out my voice but once that got dialed it was smooth sailing.

Glad to hear you've been finding the app useful! For automatic detection of your vocal range, simply follow the prompts above the piano keyboard on the "My Vocal Range" page. To get started, double-tap the piano keyboard, and the app will guide you through the sounds you need to make. Be sure to use this feature every couple of weeks to keep your range updated as it expands with practice.
  • Too hard for a beginner

I was just getting the hang of the beginner training them the pitch guide images disappeared and I had to do it by ear — I’m way too much of a beginner/bad singer for that, so this app isn’t helpful for someone with zero music or singing skills.

Hi AJ, it sounds like you’re playing the exercise on one of the higher difficulty levels. The app offers 4 difficulty levels (L1-L4) for each exercise. Instead of tapping the ‘Attempt more stars (L2)’ button, try pressing the normal play button at the bottom to start at the lowest difficulty level. This way, the pitch display will stay visible for the entire duration of the exercise. Happy singing!
  • Good App but lost functionality when they changed to prescription.

I bought the app when it was a paid app, but now I have to pay for a subscription to use it properly…
  • Great app, great customer service

I paid for the app and was having an issue advancing, because I thought I had achieved the necessary stars. I reached out to Erol. They responded in a timely manner and explained what I needed to do to progress. They said they’d update the app to explain how to advance, which I appreciate!
Highly recommend! I’m trying to strengthen my voice for rapping and possibly singing and I can feel a difference already and it’s only been about a week.

  • Update the app if you’re going to use a SAAS pricing model.

It looks like this app hasn’t been updated in 2 years and yet it charges a subscription fee. I’d understand this model if there was ongoing updates. I’ve already had it crash and lose progress only a few lessons in. Some sort of cloud saving or sign in process would be great, so the app could be used seamlessly between devices. Also, please consider some UI customization such as text scaling for those with low vision or other vision impairments. Even on an iPad the text and sheet music can be scaled pretty small.

Outside of these quibbles, it’s a great app.

  • Finally learned to sing

I have wanted to sing my entire adult life, but I couldn’t connect pitch to my voice. I play many instruments but had started to feel that I might never sing well.

This app, done regularly and combined with some ear training, finally gave me the breakthrough. The exercises and the visual indications of your pitch in real time are incredibly powerful.

  • Amazing app for beginner

The quality of the app is great, and I initially put a 5 star review, but I just can’t give 5 stars to an app the runs off a subscription model.

The content here is great, but it doesn’t Warner 4+ $ a month. That being said, I’ll still probably pay for one year… but for the sake of not being greedy, just make the app a 15-20 one purchase, nothing here justifies a subscription, other than greed.

There aren’t going to be boat loads of new content, that’s what subscription models are for.

Im not one who writes reviews, but I’m learning so much from this app Im writing a review for it. I’m a guitar player who just started using and ear training app, and I added this for basic vocal training,ITS WONDERFUL! Helped me so much to Eve learn some basic technique and get my pitches more on point, helping my ear too.
