  • Very easy to use

Good app , easy and quick
  • French app

Can't say enough about how wonderful this app is! Easy to access quickly and gives you additional and extended meanings of the defined word for use in everyday conversation!
  • Great App

Perfect for what it is. Allows you to store words in a list that you can refer back to. A useful tool in conjunction with other books, podcasts, etc. that can help you get a grasp on the French language.
  • Great app!

I definitely recommend getting this app, especially if you are studying a language! It has very useful phrases and words too.
I have used this website all my life and I've never gone back to Google Translate ever since !
  • Audio

The phrases are a really useful feature of this dictionary and I was looking forward to hearing how to say some of the useful things I found when looking up the French for 'things'. However if I am looking in an English to French dictionary it is because I can speak English and want to learn how to speak French - is it not therefore nonsensical to only give the audio of the English word!
I tried reversing the process to check the pronunciation by looking in the French part, but it was almost impossible to find the same phrases. This would be a very time consuming way to work and not at all logical, so it is something that needs to be addressed in the next update.

  • Nice, but interface needs improving

Great dic. But if you enter a word to translate, and discover the app wants to translate the other way round, clicking the flag to swap language SHOULD just give you the translation you need. But it doesnt. Clicking the flag resets the input bar, so you have to type the word again. Any easy fix for the programmers please!

  • Practical and Informative

A very useful app. The vocabulary list is more than adequate for most needs - though a number of more obscure words are missing. The opportunity to hear a word pronounced correctly is a godsend. I also like the fact that definitions often include idiomatic phrases.
  • Love it cuz it works on my old firmware!!!

Love it! Just love it! Lets me switch from both languages and I can hear every word which is essential when you're learning on your own. Only thing is I would like an option to download the sound files directly onto the iPad since I don't have much access to the Internet. Maybe write how it's pronounced in each definition since I know that would take up a lot of room. There are some words I haven't been able to find though like peux and m'assoie, but every thing else seems simply amazing! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP!

  • Almost perfect

Overall it's a good and useful app. But it may some some inconvenient between the changes of different dictionaries. It happens when you enter a word in Eng-Fren, without click 'enter', then you change your mind and need to use the Fern-Eng.
  • Very Useful

I did a month of language studies in France and this app was indispensable. I didn't run into anything searched for that I couldn't find in this dictionary. In fact, the cross references often lead me to find something new.

I think my only complaint is that the design and interface are sometimes inconvenient. For example, when the keyboard is up, you can not access the button to toggle between languages which often necessitates a few extra taps to get to your next search. Slight annoyance, but, all in all, I would definitely recommend this app.
