It’s meh . . . I give it 2.5 stars
Here’s the game in a nutshell; anything about dragons (especially breeding and evolving) takes unreasonably long except the fire dragon alone, quite glitchy, crashes, generally lacks creativity and imagination, and that’s pretty much all of its flaws. The rest of it is pretty good as a game. And I know this hasn’t been updated in a few years, but it really needs another. Because before the pandemic, it was REALLY fun. And skipping an hour of the terribly long production time of all the dragons by watching a 5 second advertisement and now it’s pretty much all about the gold which is pretty close to impossible to get for free unless you play games that are either outdated or even buggier. Definitely don’t recommend this all that much unless you don’t mind the crashing ever 10 minutes once you either try to evolve a dragon or go on social and you want to take a trip of childhood if you grew up with these kinds of games. I really do recommend Dragon City Mobile much more because it doesn’t have a lot of these problems. Even the rare storm dragon takes like, 4 hours to hatch instead of 12. Sorry, Social8. A very rigged game
Been playing since they opened this game. For the last 2 and a half years I get the not able to connect this game is a online game message like so many other people who’ve left the same problem on here. And it appears to be all the players who’ve reached 200 or have gold dragons that you don’t have to buy gold for any longer. I admit I’ve spent money on this game but not for several years due to I have reached my limit on gold dragons. I’ve sent many emails to support all of which says their short on help and the ticket is closed. I am not buying they don’t have help to fix this as they have quite a few games they’ve put out. I do believe it’s all due to the fact they cull out all the players who’ve reached their limits on gold dragons or the game level of 200. I’ve now not been able to open the game for over a year Before that I would be able to get on it maybe a day then start over with the stupid connect to the internet warning and i have fiber optic high speed so either tell players they’ve reached their end on this or fix it as people have spent money or still are to play this so it’s basically a contract between storm 8 and the people playing this game. If storm 8 has shut me off I would appreciate getting back on the game to delete all the work and time I’ve put into it why should I have to leave it all on there when I can’t play the game any longer. 0 Stars, Online issues loading, bugs, unstable, scam
I would give this 0 stars. Constantly shows 'This is an online game' when loading. After finishing an event in second place I was bumped off a few seconds before event ended and have not been able to load the game since. I used over 500,000 food and 30-40 gold I had collected, and finished in second place. Now I am unable to get into the game for a week. Because my level is maxed at 200, 58+ million coins, over 170,000 food, and 1200 gold, the game continuously prevents me from logging in to the game with the online issue pop up. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and still cannot load the game. I play on my iPad, and out of curiosity, I found that the game will load on my cell phone, but since you cannot play the same game ID on 2 devices, it does not help. I've sent numerous tickets to support, and they just send a message saying the team is working on the issue and my ticket is listed as Resolved, and said to routinely check for game updates. What a joke, last update was over 3 years ago. They have been working on this same issue for YEARS!! Is the team stupid or just lazy? I have been playing this game over 10 years, and it has always had bugs and operating issues. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. SUPPORT IS NONEXISTENT. Incessant obnoxious intrusive loud flashing ads that never stop. These stupid ads even broke through the silence on my phone and started screaming. Now I have to silence and turn volume down because some how they break through my silence on iPhone. Then I forgot to turn volume back up and later miss important call, just ridiculous. Lengthy ridiculous ads make game play time consuming and confusing because they come right in the middle of an important action causing you to loose track of which habitat your dragon went to before the obnoxious ad butted in for way too long. They come often and at terrible times during game play. You can’t even pay to get rid of them. Makes the game unpleasant to play. The ads take making revenue to a new obnoxious height. Many tricks and traps to make you accidentally spend gold that your either gifted, win, or purchase. Such as putting buttons in places to make you accidentally touch and buttons popping up to spend gold at times you would be clicking on the screen. Not really fun. Absolutely no organization or alphabetized storage items or dragon codex. Difficult to find anything due to this disorganization. I only pop in every so often and play for a few minutes to collect money, evolve, or breed and even in those few minutes the ads are obnoxious and irritating. I only stay playing briefly to sustain my island because I have a lot of progress that I got before it got this obnoxious. Don’t bother even starting now.Show lessRudy and Charlene
Used to be a great game
You must realize at the outset that the main goal of this game is to make money by selling gold to the players. Everything else is secondary. I first started playing the game when I bought my first iPhone many years ago. It was rather simple and enjoyable then. Not anymore. Nowadays, if you attempt to play the game, you spend most of your time waiting while the game is “loading” or re-doing tasks after the game unexpectedly “resets” on you, tells you to “try again”, or tells you that you need to be on internet when you already are. Support for the game has vanished. They are just keeping the game on life support to sell as much gold as they can before the game gets so out of date that it ceases to function on any platform. It’s just like refusing to change the oil in your car. Sooner or later the engine will seize and your car will cease to function.Show lessPrendad

I’ve been playing this game for years, I’m on level 189, I’ve met some wonderful people on this game, some from different countries, the problem I have, & a lot of other people is the crashing on the game constantly, it’s very annoying, I’ve reported this different times, nothing was ever done, now myself & a lot of others can’t get on the game, I couget on for at least a week, with many tries, the last few days I tried around 15 times, finally I got on, the next day, the same thing, I want to keep playing, but this is not right, something needs to be done to fix this, I heard some had to start over because of this issue, then they could get on, you shouldn’t have to do this, please do something to fix this!Show lessscubbee
Freezing & force closing
I really do like this game, but every single time I visit a neighbor or community, the game freaks out & closes itself! I mean EVERY TIME! Also, if I collect money too fast from my town, it kicks me out & closes! It’s ridiculous! My other complaint is, why can’t you have a search bar to search your stock for which particular dragons you have. It takes a long time to go through all my dragons to see if I have a specific one. 1st I have to go to the market to see which colors the dragon is, then go through all my stock of that color to make a particular dragon that I need to breed. Installing a search bar of your own stock would be so helpful. Lastly, why hasn’t this game had an update in over 2 years? It definitely has issues that need fixing!Show lesskrfftee1
I love this game! Long time player! But…
Either update the game or shut it down. I understand it’s an old game, but many still play it! I’m sure I speak for a lot of people when I say, we could do without all the relentless pop up ads. At least there was a time where they were skipable but now, they interrupt gameplay and won’t let you skip til ad is finished playing. Extremely annoying!
Also now that we are in times where everything in the country is shooting up in price, it’s pretty ridiculous that it wants players to buy the majority of the stuff in game rather than just being able to earn some of it. It makes the game less fun when almost 100% of everything has to be bought with gold. Way to show your greed. I’m a player that has more important things to spend my hard earned money on.
Basically you cannot have a fun time on this game without basically paying for it. Shouldn’t be a free app if you can’t earn more in game rather than pay for most of it.Show lessThecutenerd
Decent game
I’ve been playing this game for a couple of years and I enjoy it. BUT - the weekly challenge has an issue with the farm. I have told developers about this several times and I’m sick of it. Example: a challenge might be to grow 10 buffbeets in an hour. I plant 7 and a few minutes later when I go to plant the other 3, the challenge tells me it’s expired. This happens often, mostly with the grapes and beets. Developers always blame my IPad Air 3 and my wifi, which by the way can handle 3 tvs streaming different movies at the same time, all while 2 of us are on our iPads checking social media.
