Not always fair
This game is fun if you are NOT playing with friends. They randomly do some crazy stuff...like doubling costs for some people and cutting breeding and evolution times for others. When you contact TeamLava because you got the double costs, they say they can't fix the problem....really? Eventually they did revert it back, but they had already made me mad so I vowed not to spend any more real money. It has become all about what they can get you to spend buying gold. They offer things like a Diamond Temple for 500 gold that will increase your chances of getting valuable dragons, but they don't work! I realize this is how business works, but when you "rip" people off with false promises...we tend to get disillusioned and spend our money on better games. I hope TeamLava reads this and gets their priorities straight before someone else comes out with a similar game that is fair and we all leave Dragon Story to play their game...Show lessTrishdish14
So many issues
This maybe the second time I have ever written a review but I had too. First, after reading other reviews I’m certain the developers will not read this or if they do not care. Second, when you go to buy boost after saving up forever to get gold most times you have to buy it twice because the first time never counts but they still take your gold. Again, it takes forever to earn gold so they have truly set it up for you to purchase items.
Breeding, be prepared to breed the same eggs over and over!!! Not only will you breed the same egg a bunch it takes for ever for them to hatch. Then to feed them be prepared to need a bunch of food to feed them after stage 10.
I like playing this because my daughter does and we talk about it but if it wasn’t for her I would delete this game. It’s not fun when you can not earn gold which you need, it’s not fun for things to take days to hatch, grow, for land to clear then you have to clear it again, and when you have limits set on things daily. The graphics stink, but again the developers do not care because others have complained and yet nothing changes.Show lessmkhcth1999
Good, but used to be much better
I remember this game being really fun and enjoyable whenever a new dragon type or dragon design would come out, now they’re all pretty much the same just with reskins and color changes for the most part. Also so many of the new dragons aren’t even breedable! Like there is constantly dragons released monthly and once their events end no way of getting them unless you pay gold or use enchantment. Another issue is the saturation of “common” dragons for each event, which is really lazy since they are cheap gold producers and really a waste on habit space. Overall, the game is still decent, but the issues stated are critical to why this game is not as great as it was years ago. A suggestion would be either to start making newer dragons breedable or make enchantment easier to obtain since 1600,800,400 takes way too long to get for just a single dragon!!!Show lessAngel011101010
needs fixes & too much spam
Firstly, while loading my neighbors list, visiting their island, adding new neighbors, requesting mystic maps from neighbors, ect it takes a long time to load and that’s extremely annoying
Secondly, you need to add support for the iphone x and up. The game isn’t even full screen while playing so it feels like a cheap badly made game and i dont want to think of it like that, i know the creators are aware of this because in the preview pictures you can clearly see this problem and yet they choose not to fix it. The iphone x is now 5 years old this september and it’s yet to be fixed.
Thirdly, while loading in too much spam to buy certain event dragons and it’s obnoxious.

Game lags
I really used to enjoy playing this game, but I stopped about a year or so ago because the game lags terribly. Instead of dragons and lands per breed, I see thinking circles. The pictures won’t load. The whole island itself will, but even clicking on the land won’t allow me to see the GM dragons there. I have to click each individual dragon name in order to see the dragon. I thought it was my phone, but I upgraded earlier this year, and the issue persists which leads me to believe it’s the game itself. Please fix the lag. I’d probably start playing again if the lagging was fixed.
Update: I didn’t realize I had already left a review. I’ve changed it from 3 stars to 1 star because it still lags terribly and takes forever to load. There’s no point in playing when I can’t see the dragons because they never show up anymore.Show lessJ. Robinson
Used to be fun.
I’ve been playing this game since day one. It began so much fun! It slowly started adding the challenges and battle tournament. They were challenging but you won more times then you failed. Same with the leadership board you were able to get the milestones all the way to the end. The community challenge was so much fun but you were always able to complete it at last second. The only ads you had were from watching videos for mystery prizes or for taking an hour off battles to get to the next level quicker. Now the only way you can win any of the challenges is if you spend money. Don’t get me wrong I know it takes money to keep the game up and running smoothly. Just don’t make the game so impossible to win that you have to buy gold bars or extra leadership points to win! I went from getting all the milestones on the leadership challenges to being lucky if I can get the second to last. The community challenge are so rare your lucky if you get two a month and your lucky if you get the points to get community rewards and the tournaments I have multiple diamonds and multiple champions at level 15 but when a level 4 common dragon takes out three champions at 15 something changed.
Make a extra reward system for people to buy into that has rare prizes a diamond or champion dragon or even an ultra rare habitat to win if they buy into it. Just don’t make it impossible for people who can’t afford to buy extras just to win the weekly challenges.Show lessRpprincess
Livid. 9 Years of Playing.
Cost to much to play. And not only that it really hasn’t updated in years. I have been playing this game since 2012. That’s why theirs a one star. Don’t appreciate this game anymore. And as for Dragon Story shouldn’t have to spend Ten million Dollars on Gems. Yeah need to make money but 1.99 for 10 Gems? That’s pretty pathetic. You don’t get anything with 9 Gems but a simple decoration. This game has gotten on my nerves for the last many years. And by the way many glitches. On Restaurant Story have a restaurant that has everything in it Just on level 0. Just don’t appreciate this game. And the ads are really starting to make me very angry. I mean extremely angry. All I GET IS ADS AND ADS AND ADS AND ADS UPON MILLIONS OF ADS!!!!! WE GET THE POINT!!!! And the Notification I have is really rude been like this for the last two years ( Unfortunately the movers but yout L Shaped table in the tub. Come rearrange.) Thats Very disrespectful for a so called kids game. Very snobby and rude. Very annoying and very rude just plain down rude. I’m through playing this game for life. Very livid about this game. Tries to trick into spending real money
I like the game because I like dragons, and I like watching all my dragons flying around, but just now I was checking on my Spell Shop to see how much longer it was going to be, and I accidentally clicked the speed up button and it cost me 30 gold. I am not too upset because I never spend money on the game anyway, it is just for relaxing, but I think this is a big problem especially for more serious players. I have been saving for another nest for dragon eggs, and now it will take an extra 10 days at least to get it. Not a big problem for me, but when someone clicks the speed up button it should automatically ask you if you are sure you want to speed it up. I believe this game does not have this feature because it is trying to trick players into buying more gold with real money, which would not be that unusual in games but still. Love Game.. dislike undefeatable Breaks
I love this game and the concept of it! However, I dislike being set up for failure week after week and not being able to complete challenges. I have been trying to breed a certain dragon and have been unsuccessful at least 15 times. I need to be able to do this to complete a challenge that I alway get stopped on. I know I’m not paying for the game, but I receive enough annoying, interruptive advertisements throughout. Additionally, I can never reach gold levels because there is never a way to get gold other then through purchase. The ap doesn’t always register when I have actually tried our new games. Why even have gold? Also, how truly rare are dragons? Doesn’t seem accurate.Show lessFloyd Challenges
Long time player
I’ve had this game for about 8 years maybe longer. It’s a lot of fun but requires hours of playing per week to really compete. If I didn’t have the game before they started tournaments I wouldn’t have enough resources to be competitive without spending money.
Also, when the game was new they didn’t have ads. Now there are so many ads all the time and they pop up while you play. You click on them accidentally. I’m considering deleting the game because of the ads.
If they wouldn’t have ruined the game with ads I would’ve given it 5 stars easy!
****edit.... a lot of people are asking about gold. Spend the real money to buy enough gold to purchase a gold bearing dragon when it’s on sale. Save that gold till you have enough to get another gold bearing dragon. I did this and now have 12 gold dragons I think. They give me 65 gold a day total. It takes a lot of time but it’s really the only way.Show lessgnusvom
