Introducing POSnet 8: - Ground-up, autolayout-based interface implementation. - Category-associated background colors are now shown on Current Order, Transfer Order and Pay Order panels as well. - Product detail headers are now scrollable to accommodate products with longer names. - Settings that are enabled now appear highlighted, for increased visibility, especially on iPads. - A search feature has been implemented for the settings table. - The "Scale Product Names to Fit" setting becomes "Scale Product and Category Names to Fit", as it now acts on categories' names as well. - A new option has been introduced, controlling the way product prices are displayed on the dedicated panel (hidden, shown permanently, or shown in a menu, after a long tap). - Quick order placement is now supported after activating an option. In this mode, orders can be placed with a single tap, while the ordered quantities are shown on the corresponding cells in the products panel. - Call Waiter and Request Bill messages coming from digital menus or other dedicated devices are now shown in the app to those users who work on the tables from where the messages were sent. - A new module for interface aspect customization allows users to change colors and background textures. - By selecting the Map option for the Tables Layout setting, the tables interface can now be shown as a direct representation of the server layout. - The app now deletes messages older than 24 hours, that have been read. - Restricted payment methods are no longer listed. - A new set of permissions that were previously taken into account only on the server are now supported in the app as well. - A distinct symbol is now shown on tables and on individual table orders where the bill has been printed. - Settings can now be exported and imported between app instances by generating and scanning QR codes. - Two additional payment methods are now supported: a points-based, NFC wristband mechanism and a solution that integrates the app with a credit-card scanner device. - Unconfirmed orders coming from the menu will request confirmation before the table can be cashed. - Server messages that pertain to a particular table (course prepared, call waiter, request bill and confirm order) are now presented with an option to access the table directly.
