Useless if you share account across devices

I am an NRI. I use the app on a phone different than the one with mobile number registered with the bank. It was working until today. Now, it won’t let me in and asks me to use app only on the phone where my number is registered with bank. This makes app useless, especially if you are an high end customer with different bank accounts or nri accounts. I see another international user reported the same issue on Aug 27.

HDFC App’s Outdated Login Method Makes It Impossible for Overseas Users—Time for a Fix!

Absolutely frustrating experience with the HDFC app! As someone who spends most of the time abroad, I’m appalled by the app’s rigid login requirements. Forcing users to rely on sending a message through the registered SIM card just to access the app is absurd! How do you expect someone who’s overseas to do that? Not everyone can keep a local SIM active just to use an app.

Why isn’t there an option for an OTP login through either our registered phone number or email? In this digital age, making things simpler for customers should be the priority, not creating barriers. Whoever designed this app needs a serious reality check on user accessibility and rights.

And to make matters worse, why did you remove the option to use the app on an iPad for users without SIM cards? Don’t you trust the phone number and email we registered with? This is just another unnecessary roadblock. Fix this issue in the next update, HDFC—make it convenient for your international customers, instead of blocking us out!

Doesn’t work on first attempt

The app doesn’t show all data like balance etc on first time login but when i log out and login back it works . The issue is reproducible on my phone .

Bugy App

Your App has all sorts of issues. Cant select options takes the longest time to open up and how did you expect customers to pay card bills if your app doesn’t open up at all?

Hdfc mobile banking app

Hdfc mobile banking app has a panel on the left side which has the options of save, pay, borrow etc reflecting under it. This has stopped working and even after selecting the same repeatedly it is non functional as the drop down menu does not appear. How do i pay my credit card bill via mobile banking with this non functional left side panel

Below Average App

The app has never loaded the home page in over a year. The home page is blank and I have to choose the standard option on the left menu to load the home page properly. Now the Pay menu is not working as well. Often bugs are not even identified for a long time. Not the app performance you’d expect from a big private bank.

Never hdfc again. HDFC was the best till 2020. After that it is the worst. I uninstalled and requested to close account. Not even a relationship manager assigned after 2019. Nobody to help and I took a loan and wanted to pre-close and it went to case in the court due to non-response from the HDFC relationship manager. I went into psychiatric issues too. After that harassment from recovery is intolerable! still they call after everything is pending closure.
