  • Great app, but can it have?...

Love this app. I have a diagnosis of bipolar and it has been very useful for looking back and understanding mood fluctuations. It has however made me question my diagnosis, it looks as though my moods switch around similar times of the month so could be related to hormones? A graph that showed fluctuations over a period of a month would be really useful (developers 😉) But in general, this is a brilliant app.

  • Intrusive noise

If you havent used the app in a few hours, it emits a very loud “BONGGG!” sound that goes on for several minutes and cant be turned off. Its very annoying and sometimes distressing if badly timed. I would find the app very good otherwise, but im considering deleting it because the noise upsets me when im trying to relax or not panic

  • Excellent app

I’ve used the iMood Journal for over a year now. I really like it. I use another Bipolar app along with it. What I like about this one is I can see how my moods ebb and flow over the course of the day. It also allows me to add moods and information that effects my moods so I’m not stuck with what the app maker thinks is important and should effect my moods. I recommend it greatly. My psychiatrist is also able to check my graphs for each month and determine if a change in medications are needed and to see how I’m doing at a glance.

  • Great for tracking mood!

This is the first app like this that I've tried, and so far, I'm finding it extremely helpful. I especially like that one has a limited amount of space for each entry -- it doesn't feel quite as overwhelming as an ordinary diary.

It's mildly annoying that the reminder to back up pops up right when you have just created an entry and are about to record your mood. It would be nice if it appeared when you opened the app or something -- but not while you're in the middle of creating a record! Thanks!

UPDATE 8/9/17: It would be really great if there were some way to search for tags on the positive / negative screens (to access them without having to scroll through all the tags)! Thanks!

  • Best I’ve tried

I tried all the apps that came up when I searched ‘mood tracker’ and this one was the best. Really nice data visualization and the format for inputting your moods is simple but works.
  • A few request...please

I really like the ease of use. It would be great if we could search/save named locations. For example search for A business and saving locations I go to regularly. Saving “Home” & “Work” things like that. Also, if we could scroll through all the “#” on both the phone and the watch. Or a short list of “#” based on the mood chosen. Love the app!

  • Flexible for many uses

I track mood, but I also track some diet and sleep etc. using templates with numeric tags to remind me.
  • So far so good.

Paid for this bcuz well I’m bp lol anyways so I read all the reviews and so I bought it I just need someone to help me out with what the “template” part is ? What am I supposed to do with that ? Lol it’s pretty much simple but I don’t get the #’s or how they keep track but if someone explained this to me I’d be veryyyy happyyy! Lol ty good luck BP BROS N SIS ✊🏽

  • Huge oversight in recording bedtimes

I just paid for this app and am very frustrated right now. It will not let me record bedtimes that occur in the AM. It holds those as separate from bedtimes from that occur in the PM so I can’t track my actual bedtimes over time. As someone with bipolar disorder, this is a critical item to track, and my bedtimes will not always be in the PM hours. Being able to track bedtime, wake time, and hours slept and how they correlate with my moods is the primary reason I paid for this app. When will you fix this?

  • Super useful, usable, and nicely designed

This app is great for logging your feelings. It has good customisation options that make it versatile depending on how you want to use it, it can prompt you to use the app through the day (great because I always forget), and has the practical option to export to PDF (and you can choose the date ranges).
Also, customer support has been very responsive the one time I’ve interacted with them.
Definitely worth the price in my opinion.
Also I know my friend’s counsellor is impressed with the report she sends her, and has found that very useful as part of their sessions.
