Great Job!

This Kodi remote just works. I connected it to OSMC and it just kept on going! Great work, Kodi team!

Best Remote App

The remote controls are easy to use. Great stability and speed. Works great with Raspberry Pi OSMC. I tried a few other remote apps, but this was was at least 2 times better than the closest competitor.

Not bad

Does what it needs to.

Would be good to have the same view options for TV shows as there are for movies.

And the way you organise and connect to different instances of Kodi could be less convoluted.

Overall it’s ok, it’s free so can’t complain too much.

Thank you for the feedback! Could you provide more details in GitHub issue https://github.com/xbmc/Official-Kodi-Remote-iOS/issues/544 ?

Love the app

I have been using the app on both an iPhone and iPad for a while and love it. The new updates have made it even better. If you want a solution for a Kodi remote than this is the one.

Best Remote App!

I can’t believe I never downloaded this until now! Everything and more to control Kodi from your iPhone. This app is a must. Don’t mess around with numerous remotes (I bought one with a keyboard to easily search titles). It’s now redundant as I can search using my phone’s keyboard and it’s better than the sticky keys from that remote, plus I can see what I’m doing on the phone and don’t need to constantly look up to check entry. I bet copy-and-paste works too which is useful for entering your own APIs re: some add-ons, but haven’t tried yet. Just felt compelled to write a review for this free app that doesn’t have any annoying pop-up ads. A rarity.

Used to work

Now it won’t connect. 3rd part apps work, but not this one.

Nice app

Great remote. One request: please add more vertical space between the buttons. For example, moving the row of four buttons at the bottom (the one containing the headphone icon) down a bit would make it easier to tap the back arrow without accidentally tapping the headphone button. There’s a lot of blank space under that bottom row that could be used to make the remote less cramped.

No longer works...

Just updated to v1.8 and no longer connects to Kodi v14. And since Apple doesn't let you downgrade a version, I no longer have a remote!

Update: I have always used it's static IP, but was not working anymore. I enabled Bonjour and auto-discovery didn't find it! I switched to the latest testflight version and it connected right away. Apparently you made changes for FQDN maybe it's related?

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback. That sounds quite strange as we didn't make any changes to FQDN. The only change in the 1.8.1 TestFlight that might have had an effect was https://github.com/xbmc/Official-Kodi-Remote-iOS/issues/407 related to Kodi Eden (v11) support. At least glad to hear that your issue was resolved in the upcoming version!

Works So Well…

I’m hesitant to ever update any app that works well and is bug free.

So, I haven’t upgraded to the latest version. Experience has taught me never to update what isn’t broken!

I’ll only update after sufficient time has elapsed and the new version hasn’t gotten poor reviews.

THIS IS A POSITIVE REVIEW, IN CASE ANYONE HAS GOTTEN THE WRONG IMPRESSION.

Right click

I love the app. I would appreciate the option to “right click” for more options. If there is a way to “right click” already, would someone please show me how.

Thanks
Brent.

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback. Could you describe what you mean by "right click" and which options you would expect it to do? Please create an issue on GitHub or on the Kodi forum.
