  • Great App

I really like and use this app all the time. It is invaluable for launching into IMC.

While this information may be available elsewhere, I think the way it presents it really makes it stand out.

Skew T's are very useful but can be tricky to interpret. The interface here make them much more user friendly and usable.

  • Rip Off Alert

Like everyone else we were duped. Bought the app and now they want us to pay annually. I want my purchase price back. It's a cute app but I don't use it often enough to pay an annual subscription. Other apps allow you to keep using the older version when they go to a newer version and subscription model.

Don't encourage this type of behavior. Don't buy it and show companies this type of behavior is not acceptable. Let Apple know this isn't acceptable either.

  • Great product

This is a must have tool when flight planning. I use it to understand the cloud layers in the sky to determine if I can climb on top. It also has a broad time range projection as well! A must have.
  • Great Information

The app gives a nice presentation of the information but, as noted by others, it takes some learning from other sources. Would be nice if it changed orientation as the phone or iPad is turned for easier use once it's set in a knee board. Some links for help that better address the power and usefulness of the data would get it a 5 star rating.

  • Good on the go

This app is a great reference point when you're on the go, or just like to have the data at your fingertips. I do wish that the resolution would refresh as I zoomed in, though. It would make it easier to read when zoomed.
  • Amazing Product

Amazing product for a person doing forecasting and not having computer access on the road. Have this on iPhone and iPad. Little easier to see on larger screen.
  • Worthwhile Aviation App

A worthwhile aviation app -- I'm a PP ASEL working on an instrument rating and I check SkewTLogPro ahead of each flight. The axes and data presentation can seem intimidating the first time you launch this app, but five minutes of online research will open your eyes to the utility of the data here.

I found the most useful source to be the IFR Magazine articles by Scott Dennstaedt on "Reading a Skew T log (P)". With that understanding and this tool, you'll have a powerful addition to your EFB.

  • Needs reference chart

It would be very helpful to provide a selection button to bring up a map showing rawinsonde locations (NCAR location map).
This would facilitate making a valid location selection when traveling and not at one's home location. My suggestion would be to either add or replace the lat-long selection tab as most people have little or no use for this selection.
Otherwise, you have provided a very useful flight planning tool. - Professional CFII.

  • Really useful and accurate tool

I use this app for both soaring and power flight. I find it helpful to predict the tops of cloud layers for IFR flight. It's much better than relying on often non-existent pireps. Also great for predicting bases. Much more useful than I expected. Great app, well worth the price!
  • Pilot

This is a very useful app for flight planning. I am an Instrument rated pilot flying in the Pacific Northwest of the US where cloud bases and tops are useful to know in addition to icing especially November to March. This app makes accessing the info from the NWS very easy which was not before. From an earlier review the time and location of the soundings has been added and the highlight of the freezing line is extremely helpful to visualize on the smaller screen of my iPhone. I now use it every time before I fly. I highly recommend.
