  • Absolute non-user-friendly garbage!

The app is glitchy and extremely cumbersome. I live in Kentucky but the app keeps changing my address to Tennessee. We used to be able to parse the information from our resumes into the profile fields but that would be convenient so of course they got rid of the feature. The app changes certain information you enter to whatever it wants to say instead. Lots of info is jumbled and unreadable. Stuck with one of the other employment apps. Save yourself the frustration.

  • It’s okay, could be better

The app is okay, it could be so much better with some small changes.

Allowing me to remove/delete/archive messages sent to me through the inbox. It seems crazy that I have messages from 2 years ago for jobs that are unrelated to my field that I can’t delete.

Notifying me of messages in said inbox. There has been a number of times I would open the app once a week or so, since everything goes to my email only to find a recruiter has been trying to get ahold of me through the messaging app. No notice, no job.

show me what I have up for a resume. I’m tired of having to constantly upload a new resume because I don’t know what I have listed. Either upload, or allow me to fill out a form where it would generate a resume for an employer.

    Thank you.

  • App non functional

I’ve had resumes on my profile for years and it keeps telling me upload resume, even after I uploaded 3! more it’s still saying it! On top of that my profile headline lists my town and state for location but when I went into edit profile to correct my job title I noticed it is loading Sonora Mexico as my location and no matter how many times I correct it, it does not change!!! Now I realize why in 3 years if constant job search while working for an ungrateful retail business I have never received a single job listing alert that was even remotely matched to me!! This app is useless junk!

  • Great system, terrible controls

I thoroughly appreciate sites that give you broad titles and options for job search. The addition of extra resources like blogs, resume/CV/CL examples, and links to outside resources is the icing on this broken cake. Since pandemic, it’s clear the demand for recruitment has skyrocketed-but that’s no excuse for the continued unsatisfactory job matching I’ve received the past 3 months. Additionally, im pretty savvy on scams and fraud (I have 6 years of law enforcement) yet still was lead into a fraudulent company . After sending complaint with evidence from apps and my bank, I still noticed that company amongst many more still allowed to use platform. Where is the quality control? I still would recommend this site for informational purposes-but will never cause to apply.

  • No privacy control

After ensuring my privacy controls were set properly I update my profile. Immediately I started getting calls from outside the US. One gentleman said he had a job for me but then started asking personal questions. (None of which I answered). I rechecked my settings (they were set to private) and after 30 minutes the non-stop calls stopped. Soon after I started getting emails and texts from random multi level marketing companies where I did not apply inviting me to “interviews”.

  • Bait and switch with every email!

Email about a job but the links NEVER take you to the job from the email. Seriously guys, upfront and honest wins every time! Thought this site was better than that. Also question why they never send me postings for my location even though I set location preference with a range of 30 miles. Live outside DC and keep getting search results for NC, GA, FL, IL, etc.

Gah, there are so many other sites that get it right it doesn’t pay to search CareerBuilder and have to mine through the mess to find a real opportunity in my region. (Which, by the way, are also posted on the other sites.)

Opportunity for improvement if you are reading this CareerBuilder folks…..

  • Not brilliant

The app covers some of the basic things you would expect but seems like it was designed by people with no flare for how it needs to be used. For example the most basic task of adding skills is a free form text field allowing the user to mistype and misclassify their experience, omit key skills and ultimately not be found by people searching for said skills. When entering the experience for any given skill the user is presented with a pull down with years from 1 to 50. This is not useful as Mooney cares if you have 39 years of experience or 43 years of experience. It’s just clumsy to use and not useful for the purpose it was intended for. Also the resume doesn’t populate the profile settings. This requires the user to manually enter info already uploaded. Dumb.

  • SO BUGGY

It’s been a minute since I last had this app and I was reminded of why shortly after downloading it tonight. 1) Can’t add my education- doesn’t save the fields I filled in, keeps telling me I forgot to fill in a field when I did… several times. 2) can’t update text under my name 3) various issues of updating parts of my profile and not saving. Super disappointed. Also it kept saving me as living in Derby, Kansas so then I was being solicited for insurance sales jobs in Derby, Kansas 🤦🏻‍♀️ whyyyy!? 0 stars if Apple allowed it.

  • Horrible functionality

There needs to be a way to block company names on here. A VAST majority of the jobs are for an MLM style insurance company that, if you know ANYTHING about MLMs it puts focus on recruitment OVER the actual product. You’ll get TONS of these, along with businesses that expect you to move to their location WITHOUT informing you till the interview has already been booked. This is even WITH selecting in my profile that I want to work where I live. I don’t trust this to get me a decent job because of these issues.
Also, on their site it doesn’t seem to matter what job you put as what you’re looking for, you’ll get results for things VASTLY outside of what you’re looking for. Yeah, it can FEEL like something is happening when you get TONS of people asking for interviews, till you realize all the jobs are crap and the people are just recruiters who are probably getting a bonus for bringing you in. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE AND USE SOMETHING MUCH MORE REPUTABLE!!
To add even more, the majority of people I have been contacted by from using this platform are hardly professional despite claiming to be representing businesses. Oh, and it doesn’t accept Linkedin’s resume format for some reason.
