I LOVE THIS APP
This app is awesome, I love the articles, the journalism, it’s easy to use, the search function is great, it’s fast, it doesn’t strain my eyes, I really have no complaints. If your on the fence about purchasing a subscription I would highly recommend it.Scott574745

Great content, but terrible app. Two examples:
- live updates bring you to the website instead of staying in app
- todays paper view can be glitchy and fairly memory intensive. This means that multitasking to another app often means losing your space in the paper when switching back to AFR
Then on the desktop (web) side, using todays paper is barely usable. The scroll behaviour is broken (as in it moves way too fast for just a short scroll on the mouse or trackpad ), and there are heavy margins that severely limit the viewing space on small monitors.Show lessBrioPack

Dropped in to see if anything has changed. Doesn’t look like it. Nothing has improved in App or web access. Makes me wonder if developers have any pride in their work.
Very painful and frustrating to navigate different sections etc. Hard to keep track of latest articles and track your last read articles. This new version is a big step backwards. I have stopped updating, in case the updates are even worse, and since I rarely use the App Request to developers, Can the top menu bar, home, companies etc, in browser access of AFR, be frozen when scrolling down, please. If that can be done, access and reading of AFR, will be just about perfect.. ThanksShow lessChandAsh9

The latest update has now broken the ability to read any article in Today’s Paper, in a “sub-window” when clicking on the article’s title.
Now have to read by double tapping on the section of the paper.

It no longer bookmarks where you were when you were in the app, and it takes you back to page 1, and you have to manually go back to where you were last reading whenever you momentary leave the app. This is very annoying, and every newspaper app except the AFR has this feature. While the content is great, I struggle so see why I would use the app over the website version, given it lacks such basic features as a search bar. The value of the AFR is not only in the daily news, but in the back catalogue, allowing you to track the evolution of particular topics or corporate events though time - which is useless without being able to search.Show less~Andy00~

Don’t Like
Just don’t like this web style app, lousy navigation with no short cuts, no effort to produce weekend reads such as reviews, perspectives, weekend fin previous read sections seem muddled into other sections. Although good unbiased content still there does seem to be less overall. Just feels a cheaper read overall with the same look and feel of other mastheads. What is going on at the moment? There is at least 1 day a week that whenever I try to open the app it keeps crashing during the opening screen or if I manage to get it open crashes when I try to open the “Today’s Paper” version.
