  • Not consistent

I’ve had some issues with location which changes - when I have lived in the same place - for no reason. I don’t do anything to change it; it shows me in a different location. The changed location may only be ten miles from my home but since I live in a mountainous region the changes in elevation mean the temperature and precipitation is quite off. Now the location is back to a similar elevation within a couple of miles of my home. When the location is correct Foreca is my preferred and most accurate predictor.

Please contact app support. The forecast is given based on your GPS location, but the location name is given from the location name database. We need your help to fix the right location name for you, so please contact our app support.
  • Accurate Forecasting Displayed Perfectly

I’m a sailor and a skier. I’m obsessed with weather and have been using different sources to try and get a reasonable guess as to how the day, and days ahead, may work out. Foreca is incredibly accurate and wonderfully customizable to show you the data that’s important to you. Love it.

  • Paid for no ads but keep getting them ??

The weather forecast and format is great, just disappointed that I paid to have NO ads yet I keep getting them… tried to submit a ticket to support but the “Captcha” does not work so I cannot get support. I will update and change the rating to 5 stars if they can address this issue.

UPDATE - So far ads are now gone. Just wish paying the subscription would reset automatically instead of having to go through this.
    Thanks

You can also contact us directly in iossupport@foreca.com. Please also try to go to Settings —> Remove ads —> Restore old purchases, if you have an active subscription seen in iOS Settings app. The ad-free concerns only the app, not our websites.
  • No longer tracks location since recent update

Can any app update without breaking key functionality? Since the last update the widgets and the app no longer track my location. They just show the last location I searched for. Have checked all the permissions.

Update: developer reached out to say this is an iOS 17 bug with widgets. However the app itself seems to be having similar problems too. Will wait for an iOS update.

Regarding the iOS widgets and Apple Watch complications, we have read that there is a bug in the WatchOS 10 and iOS 17, which prevents the positioning even if the location permission is given. The bug occurs only if the app is installed or reinstalled to WatchOS 10 or iOS 17 for the first time (it hasn't been installed to the previous OS versions). Unfortunately we need to wait Apple's fix for this. You can also set a fixed location to the widget until Apple fixes the bug. The location should be set as favorite to Foreca iPhone app first before you can choose it to the widget.
  • Ads

Puts an add up which covers the whole screen. Could not get back to the app. Shut off the add. Restarted the app and then an add s as gain. Deleted the app.
  • Installed for 2 minutes

Was looking at getting a better service, foreca was recommended. I initially liked the way it looked, and went to change the city to one closer to me. Immediately was hit with a full screen ad. Full screen as in, I could view nothing else on the entirety of my screen, and had to force-close the app. I even waited to see if it would close itself, it didn’t. Had I stayed in the app, I would have had to of clicked on the ad and prayed that eventually I could get back to the application somehow.

First time experiencing that ever in 20+ years of having a phone. Won’t touch this with a 10-foot pole ever again. I was well aware that the app had a subscription model but they advertised the free version in a way that stated that free users got all the features of paid, so my expectation was Weatherbug type ads built in. Annoying but those could be ignored. However, if your advertising model relies on you completely taking over my phones screen, there is nothing ‘free’ about your service.

Full screen ads should always have a close button. You can change the ad format in the settings or buy reasonally prized ad-free subscription. All the premium features like notifications, maps, warnings, customization etc. are included to the app - only the ads can be removed by purchasing the ad-free subscription.
  • Fantastic, Comprehensive

Fantastic weather app, I looked so hard to find one that showed the actual amounts of precipitation and this one does a great job.
