Fantastic
It took me a long while to stop whining about the demise of DS and how nothing in the App Store comes close. Yeah, 🥕 but $60/y for family? I’ve been testing weather apps since the day I read DS was sold. Tried them all and pretty much gave up, settling for Apple Weather. At least it’s not as bad as it used to be. Couple months ago I stumbled across Foreca. It’s really buried in the App Store. I hope word gets out because Foreca is fantastic! I looked back at reviews to see why it wasn’t all 5 stars. I think most are from when the app was newer. Makes sense. The ad I get today is for a different weather app, silent, and goes away in a single tap; no timer. And $3.50/y makes it gone. I’m in the US Midwest. Next door neighbor has his own weather station. Foreca temps are always in line. It’s easy to read, radar is great, and alerts are timely. And as much as I like the app, I love the Watch app even more. (Seriously Dev, make the Watch app the 6th Reason To Choose Foreca. Maybe 2nd) So 5* app from me but I think you should install it now and see for yourself.Show lessmdtolic
An app that actually offers premium features for free!
Honestly, this app isn’t perfect, but for what it offers compared to every other weather app out there, I’d say it’s one of the best, if not the best right now. Only thing that I’ve found that I’m truly missing from Dark Sky/Apple Weather is the visual “rain gauge” or precipitation within the next hour graph. Otherwise, a fantastic weather app that you will not regret downloading. Developers, hats off to you and maybe consider adding a rain gauge as many users appreciate this feature :) Edit: Yes, I do mean a 60 minute precipitation graph, similar to the one Dark Sky/Apple Weather both show when precipitation is forecast. This is one of best weather programs you can get. It’s been very accurate for my location here in Indiana. The price is really great for what you’re getting! This program ranks right up there with the big weather applications that cost a whole lot more and I mean a lot 💰!
If there was a (con), I would like to see weather alerts ‼️ that pop up on my iPhone with a catchy sound! Now that would be 😊! Again, just get this program and hope the tech’s add the alerts soon!Show lesskeystone507
Amazing UX with accuracy
First time I came across, I was skeptical but very soon, I realized how good of a job the user experience team has done. In today’s world, there are many ways to get decent weather information but what makes the difference is the UX. This is by far have been largely amazing and my only go to weather app nowadays. Very Accurate, Great Potential
Have been trailing this app since Dark Sky shut down, and since finding it was one of the most accurate weather sources for my area on Forecast Advisor. I’ve been monitoring its notifications and weather predictions compared to Apple Weather, and Foreca has been more spot on, vs AW telling me it’s raining or snowing when it’s not.
I’ve had several email exchanges with Tuomas, the dev, and he’s been very receptive to feedback and explaining some things I’ve seen in the app.
There appears to be some bugs due to Apple on the watch, which is preventing me from using some of the complications, but I’m looking forward to those being fixed. The app has some really nice Home Screen widgets, but would like to see a few lock screen widgets added, as well as some better designed Apple Watch complications. Would really like to see a better selection of the large modular complication.
Overall a great app, very clean on the iPhone, and even the Apple Watch app. Lastly, would like to see some customization options like the iPhone app has, on the Apple Watch app. Can’t wait to see how this app progresses.
Lastly, I appreciate a reasonable subscription price. I normally like to buy my apps, but this is low enough that I’m okay with that. I’d like to see family sharing, so that everyone doesn’t have to have their own subscription, but if kept to $3/year, that’s not too bad.Show lessgeogecko
Great Replacement for Dark Skies
I liked the Dark Sky app but Apple bought it and shut it down. I found Foreca to be a good replacement. It is customizable to fit my needs. Most apps don’t make wind a high priority. For me, wind is a bigger issue than temperature or even rain and Foreca does a good job reporting wind.MarkBurkett

Once I got used to it I realized how great it is.
I wanted something where I could go to the home page and see today’s weather and the week’s weather at a glance.
The layman’s weather page.
The home page has it all that most people would want.
You have wind, humidity, feels like, sunrise & sunset times & rain probability all on the home page.
Click any day of the week to get the hourly.
Click on the wind speed and it toggles to the gust speed.
You want a map? There’s a map tap.
But the map doesn’t clog up the home page like some other apps.
Lots of features you can click a tab for…
But for me it’s all about the home page and having today’s weather, as well as the week’s weather at a glance. Oh look…it’s gonna rain in the afternoon on Tuesday.Show lessyoyoyocum
Possibly the best weather app available!
Clear, easy to understand and use, fast loading, and most accurate forecasting weather app around. Notifications of upcoming periods of precipitation are especially useful, and weather radar for my rural area seem more accurate than all others.
