  • Direct information

This is just about as direct as it gets. The forecast is not altered for ratings or shock value. Love it
  • Impossible to read

I would love to be able to use this app, but the inability to switch the display from light text on a dark background to dark text on light makes it unusable for me. My eyes are unable to handle “night mode” and I cannot look at any screen that is set that way for more than a second or two. If there were a setting to switch this display, I’d even be apt to buy the full version. Oh well!

  • Why not five stars?

I do love this app, but every other time I try to read the detail, nothing happens, no details. And, the day I signed to the Pro version, still, nothing! This is frustrating! We are in the midst of a Winter storm in Maine as I write this amid changing conditions with a paid up pro version, and it’s frozen! Five stars when or if it consistently shows the details I’m paying for!

I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue. I just checked all stations in Maine here and it looks like everything is showing up for me. Could you email me at info@rateofclimb.com so that I can help trouble shoot the issue? The review section isn't very efficient for support. Again, thanks for getting in touch, and I hope we can solve the issue for you promptly.
  • Little bit pricey for information that are free

Keeps showing location search donut. Small font size can’t be increased. Slow fetching data. The NOAA web site returns the same data much faster. Should only request imprecise location data by default.
  • Latest update bug

The forecast is now missing sections in some cases. Example: Phoenix forecast has synopsis but not actual discussion. Same with single page version. Problem started within the past week.
  • Opinion

This platform describes the weather systems verbally, no pictures, therefore challenging the viewer’s mind in a way that I like. I have many weather apps, this one is unique, and I have expanded my weather lingo. Not 5 stars, because I live on the edge between Albany and Hartford weather spheres, so I have to extrapolate a tad-but know what’s coming upstream. Thanks

  • Just Excellent

This is a great detailed and on going guide to wx synopsis and forecast. I read it religiously every morning and through the day.
  • Access to professional weather notes

It’s helpful to have access to a real forecast and discussion of weather. However, the forecast is not written for the layperson and contains a lot of profession jargon.
  • Absolutely Useless App

I signed up for the free version because I’m kind of a geek about this things, especially since the fires. I live literally near the only weather station inland LA Basin, and it’s assigning me to the only station in the region, far away and literally by the oceme to contact tech support or ian. I then went to premium and signed up for monthly subscription, thinking this would remedy the problem, but no! There’s no way for me to get the station close to me. The one near the ocean far away is useless to me! And there is no apparent way to get tech support, nor to unsubscribe!!!

Hi Elaine. You can contact me at info@rateofclimb.com anytime for support. I pride myself on my customer support and answer as quickly as possible.  Deep Weather finds the closest National Weather Service Forecast Office to your location. (There are six such NWS offices in California) The information it provides covers your local area. To see information from a different region you can use the map tool.  You can absolutely cancel your subscription at any time. I'm happy to help with that as well if you get in touch with me.
  • Weather Nerds Rejoice!

I think it’s great to look at a bunch of different weather sites and compare. Appreciate that there’s AV weather too!
