Great strategy and social game
I have been playing since January on blue server. It has been a great strategy and social game. I play more than I probably should but it has been fun and challenging. It has helped me with strategy and working with lots of other personalities. Our corp and alliance has become family to me. I enjoy the continuous updates and bug fixes in this game. The mods are very good about quick responses. I am RedSonja31 and a lead and co-founder of Paladin. It has been amazing watching our group grow together and work as a team like a family should. A MUST HAVE FOR SOCIAL GAMING!
I never cared for MMO games. This one changed my mind. The intricacy and detail are amazing to say the least. KUDOS to Whalesong for developing a Star Wars/Star Trek spin to social entertainment.
The platform is fast, easy to use, and challenging all at once. The ships are numerous and don't get me started on the number and complexity of gear. The game is constantly in motion so becoming bored is rare. The chats are monitored VERY well which provides a safe environment for players of all ages. People are able to get into The Infinite Black from smart phones, iPads, AND computers.
THIS GAME IS A MUST HAVE for anyone who wants to spend some time in space and meet new friends. Personally, I feel like part of a large family when I log in.
One word of caution....this game is addictive. Once you get into it, it's hard NOT to play.

Best Game Ever
Ever since I discovered this game I have been absolutely addicted. Being mobile means I can play it wherever I am. At first you can be a little overwhelmed learning to play the game, but once you do you just won't be able to put it down. There surely will be a large amount of players offering help to you the moment you first log in, so no worries. The game developers are also very committed to this game and work very hard every day of the week to make sure players are happy (you can even talk to them in-game and in their website's discussion forum). Give it a shot and download it! Won't cost you a thing.

The Infinite Black is one of the best mmorpgs I have played & I have been playing them since they were first developed. It has a rich interactive environment with many layers of activities to keep you interested. There are so many interesting and helpful players to guide you and there is an excellent online tutorial. There are also players of a wide age range who are very active, so you can further hone your online experience to suit your tastes. I admit, I was very skeptical at first but tib has become my all time favorite past time and I can forsee playing it for a long time to come! Probably best of all is that you don't have to pay a cent to play and advance if you don't want to! It's free, give it a try and you won't be disappointed! Space Exploration RPG of the Year
Infinite black is a game where you explore the galaxy, building up your ship, buying new ships, and earning credits to buy those ships. Along the way you will fight countless enemy's, earning resources that you can sell. While the game is addicting, it lacks customization. When you buy a ship, you cannot change its color or anything to make it unique. Having more customization in the future would improve my rating of this game. When you set off to fight, be sure not to go alone. Joining an Alliance can benefit any player greatly, not just with more power, but with friends. Overall, Infinite Black is a great game for IOS, and for a price of 0 dollars, there isn't much to complain about. My only concerns though, are the lack of customization. 4 1/2 stars. A great game in my eyes.

Where has the last 4 hours gone?

It has the wonderful feel of a true grinding mmo, where you can just get on with your own development, but with the added bonus of the Corporations feature to help advance through player interaction. You are dropped into the game with very little instruction on how to play, but after 5 mins any moderately experienced gamer will pick it up.
So far so good, but unless you are willing to buy in app purchases, be ready for a long (but worthwhile) grind.
Update, a few weeks down the line....
Still just as addictive, the ever developing game is kept from becoming stale by constant updates from the devs, who seem to really pay an interest into fixing the game mechanics, and not just letting this one die out.
Only suggestion, maybe the grey area could be slightly larger? at peak times it becomes very congested.

Great game, devs and community
Picked up that game a bit more than a week ago. I felt at home very fast, the ui is good and understanding its uses is easy. If you like games in space like merchant empires, eve online ... you will like this game.
Join a corporation and an alliance participate in invasions, group farming, pvp together. I have found the corporation and alliance I joined very helpful, great to interact with and always willing to help in tough fights.
In regards to the devs, they are very active in game, on the forums ... as an example I wanted to know some stats about the NPC ships that were not on the wiki. Cyric saw the request in the forums, he published the info the next day.

Greatest Space MMO on mobile platform

i've spent a lot of time on this lately, great for 5 minutes at a time or hours at a time.
greatish community, and there's always something to do.
run a corporation or alliance of corps, play pve or pvp, either is great :D
