  • Thank you

It’s so good to have allocated seats, so we don’t have to wait in a queue in the cold.
It makes the festival experience much more pleasant.
The feast of films gives us great worldly experiences as usual.
  • Very annoying-it’s hard to use when the ticketing data is constantly being updated

    On
  • Better than previous years BUT

When exchanging tickets for the same time (different show) this is not possible. It is slow to push update to iOS calendar. The text with the time of film is very light and difficult to read in the “what’s on” menu. Exchanged tickets remain in ios calendar despite updating often for hours , and then really confusing whilst trying to book.

  • Dysfunctional App

The app this year is at atrocious. Continually freezes on opening Search and filtering for films is poor and has resulted in me exiting the app and searching in the website instead. In my tickets it keeps displaying movies I exchanged despite having cancelled then more than 7 days ago. Ticket exchange is not intuitive. And overall it looks average. Such a dysfunctional app that I’m just using the website on my phone as it’s a lot easier experience. I thought having a dedicated app was suppos to make the user experience easier than navigating the website, not more difficult.

  • Clunky

The world’s best film festival needs a better app. I can’t buy tickets via the app, adds to cart then when I go to cart, ‘cart is empty’ - have to book on a desktop.
  • App keeps freezing!!

App always freezes when I open it; very difficult to use
  • The worst app I have ever used!

This app used to he ok but for the 70th anniversary they decided to ruin it. Every time I try to ise it to get my tickets it starts loading for some reason saying its “parsing ticket data”, what the hell is parsing anyway, at-least I learned a new antiquated word.

It also crash so many time that I had to give up and use the website to buy tickets.

Please just undo what you have done.

  • Totally broken

As others have said, the app is totally broken this year - it freezes as soon as you open it. If you do manage to get through to a ticket screen, the “updating ticketing data” notification bar blocks the menu button that lets you share the ticket to Apple Wallet. So, unless this is fixed before the festival, lots of people will have to use their PDF tickets!

  • Constantly freezes

As others have said, the app is unusable in 2022. Constantly freezes after a few seconds. Seems to be the same platform as previous years which is great, but there’s definitely a major bug which needs to be ironed out before the festival starts.
  • App freezes after 30 secs

The app just doesn’t work, works fine for about 30 secs than completely freezes and you have to restart the app. Same thing happens again. Website is the only way to navigate booking tickets. Very frustrating as I’ve found in previous years the app has been brilliant, 5 star app every year apart from this year!!
