  • Worked well for years but problems this year

No issues with this app for several years but this year it’s logged me off twice (hugely frustrating when trying to access tickets before a film). It’s also hard to select a date when searching for a specific date or session as the whole calendar doesn’t show up and there is no facility to type in the date. Very annoyed when it has always worked before.

  • Please get it right MIFF

I’ve never had more frustration with an app over the history of an event. One might expect you to have some hiccups in the beginning and who cares if you don’t get everything working perfectly straight up. Surely it doesn’t take this long to get the app right? We even joked at the office about the app not working properly this year as I downloaded it. And you didn’t disappoint. Countless days where we couldn’t book tickets, a few days when the app didn’t work. I’ve downloaded it several times and still no joy. I buy a miff pass every year and you still cannot use the pass to buy more than 1 ticket at an event. How very ridiculous. So many little faults. It’s just frustrating and it’s embarrassing...

  • Absolutely spectacular

This app is amazing you can really tell that hard work has gone into making this . I booked my tickets and swiftly got them with no problems. This app is very easy to navigate and I did not come across any problems while I used it. Good work to ferve tickets on a great app, keep up the amazing work!!

  • Terrible app this year!

What is up with this years MIFF app wants an upgrade too frequently for 2 weeks and its doesn’t fix any of the many bugs! Can’t access my tix way too often - or check for new films - keeps ‘updating ticket info’ but doesn’t actually have anything new! Go back to the reliable apps of years past!!!!
  • Add to Apple Wallet not working

There have been some big improvements in the app this year. I especially like the wishlist and search options. Unfortunately the ‘Add to Wallet’ feature results in an error message appearing at the top of the screen, it would be good to have that fixed. I’m using an iPhone 8 Plus on iOS 12.3.2.
  • Fantastic

Great app, easy to use, fantastic information. Loved all the links in the tickets to session info, making it easy for rating movies, venue info easy to get to, and it never failed requiring login info again, made purchasing additional tickets really easy. It has made the festival experience really easy to enjoy having all the info so easily accessible and not have to worry about logistics.

  • Terrible interface sub-par to other Filmfest ticketing sites/APP

I see Ferve still haven’t updated this terrible ticketing system, allowing MIFF to fall well behind other film festivals I’ve attended. The interface is clunky. Tickets and screens are cut off. Looks terrible on mobile with scroll inside lightboxes. When I try to book it said I had to do it in a browser then forgot my cart. Bad bad bad. Just use the website for a slightly less terrible experience.

  • Smart app that’s great on the go!

This app works so well on my iPhone linking with my calendar, I get my tickets on phone, they scan phone at the door, and I buy tickets and exchange tickets all on phone.

Only complaint is that searching for films is a bit tedious using the calendar search.
  • Very good app

I bought a passport pass and was able to select what I wanted (lots of movies), swapping a few sessions around along the way with minimum fuss on an iPhone 6.

It is a credit to the developers that this level of functionality has been elegantly designed to operate so effectively on small screen devices.

  • Clunky

In previous years this app was seamless but this year, on the iPad at least, it is impossible to navigate. It doesn’t fill the screen, comes as a square, and cuts off the film description on the right hand side, and the bottom. Then when you try to scroll up to see the rest of the blurb the photo (of the film) enlarges but upside down, and can’t be moved. That’s when you exit the app and use bad language!
