Excellente application

Nous vivons depuis 1 mois sur le bord du fleuve St-Laurent tout près des ponts de Québec et Laporte et nous avons découvert hier cette application qui nous permet d’anticiper les passages de bateau sous nos yeux et de nous fournir plusieurs renseignements sur chacun d’eux. Nous apprécions grandement cette application. N’étant pas suffisamment bilingues, nous aurions apprécié que les titres soient aussi en français sans avoir à recourir à des traducteurs du web.

Great app but…

This is a great app for ship tracking and as I’m a member of the RNLI, I love the notifications you can set for your choice of Lifeboat at the Lifeboat Station you’re interested in. However, could we have real-time tracking and not a 10 minute countdown before auto refresh tracking? I appreciate that I only pay for Starter package but real-time tracking would be far better, especially when ships are leaving port. Other than that a “Follow Vessel” would be an advantage. Thank you! :)

Great Coverage

This app is fantastic for seeing and tracking vessels around you. The challenge is that the others have to be transmitting their AIS. Mandatory to transmit on commercial vessels, seems optional in fishing vessels and fellow sailors are usually a hit and miss. Our view is that it should be mandatory to transmit for all vessels offshore, irrespective of size. Good work developers!

This app was recommended to me by crew members on a car ferry, and I love it. I can find out info on any ship I see or hear about. It’s easy to use and accurate. And it’s amazing to see just how many ships are out there - on the high seas, in ports and inlets, and major rivers & canals.

Very unstable app

When it works, it’s great. BUT, BUT, it is hit or miss. 95% of the time it takes 5 or 6 tries to get the app to open. Fix it, please!

Awesome in so many ways!

As someone who is affiliated with someone on a ship for over half the year- it is so cool to be able to see where they are- which not only gives me peace of mind, it’s just super cool. It was very mind blowing how many boats and ships use our waterways and it’s been a cool treasure trove of a learning experience - and it’s been fun to learn about all kinds of boats and ships and share the knowledge with friends and family. All in all I would recommend it to anyone- it’s ocean traffic control at your finger tips and super helpful!
