Worth every cent!
My parents have a cottage on Lake Huron in Michigan. We can see freighters and other boats out in the distance but not close enough to see their names and other details. Just open the app and you can find out what freighter or boat it is, see pictures, see where they are coming from and going and much more. It's great for anyone that likes boat and freighter watching especially if you live on the water.

Quite good, but vessel finder seems to have had better updates
I use Marine Traffic but I keep seeing more accurate later position updates on Vessel Finder .. :-(
Great for Cruise Ship tracking
We use this app to track which Alaskan cruises are coming by our house in the summer. Works great and ETA to your location is within 5 mins of being accurate!

Very good information it provides, would be better if the icons are friendlier looking.
Pretty good app, worth the money.
It's not bad. Limited by how often ships are either broadcasting their location or within range of where they can be picked up it seems. Also a bit buggy. Sometimes ships in My Fleet list are not recognised even when I'm signed in. Shutting the app down and restarting or logging out and logging back in fixes that.
It would be good if ship details popped open when the ship icon is tapped rather than having to tap again to get those details IMHO.
Actually the more I use it the more I wish I hadn't bothered. Pity it doesn't work like FlightRadar24. Ship positions can be days out of date hich is worthless.

Camelford Tim. An Astonishing and amazing App!
A good friend sailed around the whole UK, now sailing in the Bay of Biscay put me onto this App so I could track him. App is fantastic! Worldwide, yet zooms to fine detail. One-click gives details and photos of Ships. Great entertainment & educational value. Found where my local fish&chip shop catches its Fish!
Moving on, I am now a volunteer watchkeeper for the National Coastwatch Institution. From a cliff top observation point, I log ships and people that may get into danger, and advise Search & Rescue services if a rescue is needed.
This is a superb app that can confirm identification by eye, telescope, and Radar.
I refer to it at home as a "geeky" pastime!
