COMPLETE MESS…PLEASE READ!!!!
I am a Huge Fan of A&E TV but this app is Beyond Terrible! I log into the A&E App with my TV provider and have created a profile, with my email and password. Even after doing all of this, there are multiple issues that need to be addressed. First, there are New Seasons/Episodes Of Several Different Shows that are incomplete; Example: Cold Case Files- New Episodes Fridays-Stream Next Day— SEASON 4 - Missing Episode 1, Episode 2, says aired Nov. 29, 2024, Episode 3 & Episode 4 MISSING, Episode 5, says aired Nov. 15, 2024 (why would Episode 5 say it aired BEFORE Episode 2???) Then, Episode 6 & 7 Are Missing, Etc. ALL EPISODES FOR ALL OF THE SHOWS ON THIS APP ARE NOT IS THE CORRECT ORDER AND DO NOT HAVE THE CORRECT DATE ON THEM. This app has been like this for a very long time!!! NOW IT DOESN’T KEEP TRACK OF SHOWS THAT I HAVE ALREADY WATCHED OR ANYTHING!!! A & E App could be one of the best However, the APP IS HORRIBLE AND A MESS! Due to the app being so terrible; it turns away MOST VIEWERS BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS TO DEAL WITH THE APP!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, CLEAN UP THE APP AND FIX ALL OF THE INCONSISTENCIES TO MAKE IT A SMOOTH, SEAMLESS AND ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE FOR ALL A & E SUPERFANS!!!!

Lots of content but not perfect
Love the selection of shows available to me, but the chrome cast option being this buggy and most of the time not working what so ever just a constant loading circle in 2024 is something that should not be as big of a issue as it is for any streaming service , thank god for apple screen sharing or would be bound to watch the content only on phone or tablet . PLEASE FIX CHROME CAST OPTION

Awful for casting
Barely works when you try to cast to your tv. Sometime it works and most times I get the loading circle and nothing ever happens. Disappointing
Good shows, BUT………
** UPDATED** after going through the reviews after I noticed, it seems, that they are more than happy to respond to the positive reviews, but not one word to the people that are complaining **
So I love the A&E channels along with most of the programming… I frequent the channel daily… My problem, however, is you can’t get hardly any or full seasons of the shows without being trapped in to purchasing the subscription… Secondly, the ads are absolutely crazy. Ridiculous! Every five minutes or less, I am getting an ad that asks me if I like the advertisements yes or no… There’s no need to repetitiously have the same issue on every programming… It would also be nice to able to see episodes that were released supposedly 24 hours after they ran… I have yet to find that

It’s become better…
They used to have this annoying feature where U could choose between watching 3 minutes of commercials or watch a one minute interactive ad. When I stream shows, I also am doing other things, mainly sewing or doing simple changes to my home. I REALLY hated to have to stop what I was doing to press a button on my iPad…the one minute interactive ad sometimes posed problems-like freezing up or not sending you back to the correct part of the show. I hope they never bring that aspect back! I’d rather just watch the commercials straight thru without having to press a button to choose this or that.

Constant technical issues
Great show but…first night I had a terrible time getting the series to start. Would press play and the app would close entirely. This happened repeatedly. Second night, second episode- again trouble getting the episode to start. Would get the show started and question would pop up will you watch one 30 second ad or would you prefer 2 minutes of ads? Chose 30 second ad, watched the ad, returned to show, pressed play, same ad screen would pop up again. Cycled through this multiple times after watching the ad or simply letting the 30 seconds pass- and eventually it would get back to show. Took forever to finish watching the show due to the ad screen cycling back- same ad- seemingly stuck. Would not chose to watch anything on A&E again

Adds
I installed A&E because there’s a couple shows there that aren’t on other streaming platforms but something that has turned VERY annoying are definitely the adds. I sometimes get 8 adds (and not total) and each other is like 30 seconds I even had an add once where it was a whole minute. There are also times where you get the option between a 30 second interactive add and normal adds which can add up to 3 MINUTES, so I do the rational thing and click on the 30 second interactive add, once the add is done it doesn’t immediately go back to what you were watching it makes you watch the normal adds too. Now I wouldn’t really mind if it happened a couple times but it happens EVERY TIME I go on this app. Also after the adds the show you’re watching turns blurry to the point I’ve had to close the tab and go back in again. Overall I honestly wouldn’t recommend the app to anyone and if there was another place to watch the shows I would definitely go and switch apps.

You will be riddled with Ads
If we are logging in with our cable provider, that we pay for, why force ads? I understand the need for them, it’s to pay you more money than already receiving to run the apps themselves. I appreciate the option to select a 30 second interactive ad rather than a 3min one, but what good does that do when it freezes afterwards, making me close and reopen the app, only to be dealt with this interactive ad again? This has repeated for 20min now, I downloaded the app an hour ago. I am not sure how such a successful broadcasting service would be incapable of creating a functional app, but A&E clearly do not utilize the funds we provide as customers to construct efficient services. I think AOL Dial-Up was more functional, that alone speaks louder than I could. Get it together, A&E.

Worst app I have ever used
This is the WORST app I have ever used. The ads never work right, if u choose to do a 30 second interactive ad it freezes 75% of the time so u have to close the app completely and start over. So u then have to watch even more ads. Then that will freeze most of the time as well. It’s a vicious cycle. Also, the way they number the episodes is confusing. Example being 60 days in. Some are listed as ep 1, ep 2, but then they throw in ep 83, ep 84. And the tell all seems like it just ended halfway through the show.
This channel is way too big to have such an awful app. Someone needs training or fired. These shows and the viewers deserve better. I will be googling if any other apps stream accused so I don’t have to come back to this app. I’m fed up. I’ve been dealing with this for way too long.

Great shows on a lousy app
There are quite a few shows on this app that I really really enjoy. But I’m so used to being able to use the picture in picture function on the other streaming app in case I need to look up something that was just mentioned on the show that I want to understand better or if I get a text message from someone or a notification about something… And this app does not offer that feature. So I have to close the app temporarily to do whatever I need to do and then when I go back it always makes me watch ads again. 4 as in a row every 4 or 5 minutes is too much, especially when it’s the same 4 ads each time. And if one of the ads happens to be annoying or in some way offensive to you, you’re going to have to watch that ad 7 or 8 times in one episode.
I would not mind the number of ads so much if it were not the same ads over and over. The repetitiveness is so tedious.
