OK OK OK Yes I get the shortcut already
EDITED in response to developer's response: Thank you yes this turns off the annoying reminder pop up and makes using the app a lot smoother. It's nice to have both transport options available so it's a bummer to sacrifice one because of the interruption due to the reminder. Maybe limit the pop-up to one time?

If you're referring to the Play/Pause Shortcut reminder dialog, you can disable the behaviour by going to Settings and turning off "Tap Waveform to Play/Pause" (as mentioned in the reminder dialog).
This app is a game changer!!!!!
I have had other apps that also have the ability to slow down, change keys, block off sections to work but the biggest change with AudioStretch is that you can listen to a note or chord as long as you wish as long as your finger is on the screen. The feature is awesome when something is really fast or hard to hear.
You can also load your own video and do the same thing there.
The other feature that is different is that you cal load a piano bar at the top of the screen. It shows which notes are being sung and the overtones that are produced.
If you learn your notes visually, this will help.
This is the best out there to learn music. It might cost a little it is so worth it!!!!!
***Addendum***
As I mentioned earlier, I do have another similar app that has a lot of the same features. The one thing it has that AudioStretch does not have currently is the ability to keep a list of files that have been uploaded previously. It makes it easier to go back and forth to different files.
If that feature were to be added, it would have everything I need.
Thank you again for a great app!!!!!!

Wow! Thank you for the amazing review, wstuttsjr! We really appreciate it.
More than I need!
Only thing I can think of for improvement would be to add selection of entire directories for play, or make playlists.
Great app, though. Worth the money.

Almost PERFECT transcription app
Please can you make rewind customisable and 15s is way too much 5s or 3s would be more useful and it would be even better if you make adjustable in the settings?
Thank You

Incredible
App won’t work with Garage Band
Audio Stretch
I’ve been publishing single line melody music books (fiddle music) for 40 years and have always used technology to assist my transcription process.
First it was half speed using reel-to-reels which maintained pitch (albeit an octave down) but sound was abysmal at half spend.
Next it was pitch control on cassettes which allowed less dramatic speed changes making it slight more musical - but you had to constantly retune your instrument.
I became a Mac user in 1987 and for many years I used a Program called Transcribe which allowed creation of loop points and transposition of keys. Fidelity suffered and fine tuning was not an option.
Eventually Transcriber appeared ... a full function Mac OS X program which I continue to use.
By its simplicity Audio stretch takes it further .... now you can easily adjust the pitch and duration of a clip and email it to a friend/student without the use of another application.
Stop-start by tapping the screen is a great part of the intuitive interface however, by reflex (from years of desktop use where the keyboard space bar acts as a toggle switch for pause-start (the universal audio keystroke (from Pro Tools to Transcribe) I’d like to be able to use my keyboard
My iPad Pro uses a Smart Keyboard which also serves as its stand ...assuming Apple hasn’t blocked the possibility to make app specific keystrokes... then my request to use the space bar, should be an easy fix. This should work for all iPads (including ones using older Bluetooth keyboards)
Thanks for a great stable app
