IS ANYONE PAYING ATTENTION?
I was told by a bank representative that the app change was because there were problems with commercial banking, so they changed companies.
The bill pay is absolutely the worst! It used to be so user-friendly. On the right hand side you could see your pending bills, when they were going to be paid, and a total. With one glance, you could figure out your budget.
It’s also more difficult to see payment history with a particular payer.
The worst though is that I used to set up automatic E-bill payments which were shown in the pending. I actually went in and spent almost a half an hour with a teller who Skyped someone in the bank and together they could not figure out how to set this up again with the new system. I had to resort to letting different companies go into my checking account and pay my bills on the due date, something I really don’t like. The worst thing is I don’t see my pending payments anymore. All of a sudden I get a notice that the money has been taken out of my account.
I too am loyal to Exchange Bank, but I am seriously considering leaving. They spent so much money alerting us over and over about this “wonderful” forthcoming change . They seriously should reach out at the same level to their individual accounts and get some feedback.

A Step Backwards
I thought the old app was great! In fact I preferred using it to the webpage except when I wanted a more comprehensive view of my accounts on a larger screen. Now they are the same. On my phone some screens are cut off and you can’t scroll to see the rest of the page. The e-billing is not working. Some bills open with no content. Other billers I get a notice that I need to complete the setup, but when I try I get a message that the function is not available! Very frustrating!!

Nothing but problems since the update
This new app design is horrible, it’s harder to read and navigate, and I s had nothing but problems with it. Also, I miss being able to get a quick view of my bank account now that you’ve taken away the widget for the screen left of the iphone homepage. I used it all the time and now i have to open the app and log in every time i want to see if my direct deposit hit my account or something quick like that.

Very irritating
First of all I try to submit the review with 1 Star but it wouldn’t accept. Now giving 5 stars just to get review submitted.

Prior app was Easy! I just paid off my Honda loan and wanted to not have the reoccurring bill to Honda sent. I call customer service and it took her several tries to figure out why it wouldn’t stop a future payment.
The a few years ago when Exchange Bank changed systems there were also glitches. Not sure how it could be more thoroughly checked before rolling a new system out but figure it out or plan on losing customers.
All in all if I hadn’t been with the Exchange Bank since the 1970s I would definitely be changing banks.

Really great and convenient!!
This app is awesome! It went through a big update in the first half of the year; I miss the old layout of the check/remote deposit section. The history of accepted checks worked better for me, in a visual and organizational sense. Other than that, I really enjoy using the app!
The app is okay
Whomever designed the new bill pay app should be fired. It’s so complicated and so many options it’s ridiculous. I know it was probably a genius who did this but it needs to be more for the common sense people. The original one was very good. You could of tweaked it rather than changed it totally. What a waste of the Exchange Banks money. The bank used to be more conservative what happened. No more changes unless they are necessary. It seems that this bill pay thing was changed just to pay someone. I am a huge fan of the bank not one of your rich people just steady. You need to be reminded about this.

Was A Great App
Talk about taking leaps backward. The new app is awful. The new bill pay is about as un-user friendly as you can get. Not only was all the history deleted but you have to manually set up electronic bills - first going to the individual vendor site and stopping bills from going to the old bill pay then back into Exchange bank to request them again. Customer service has been NO help and when they say they’ll call you back they don’t. This has been a nightmare. We have been with Exchange Bank for 20+ years and this Very very disappointing.

Nothing special
It doesn’t seem much different than the previous one. It doesn’t work with older phones. The previous one allowed for the checking of balances without logging in to the website. I miss that useful function. Bring it back!

I hate it!!
For years this was completely reliable - since you have updated it- I have called almost every single week to reset my password. The new app does not work with my encrypted password keychain and continuously dumps my settings. To top it all off - it also dumped all of my e bay and bill pay settings - so I have had to go to great lengths to keep my bills paid on time and to retrieve all my info because I went completely paperless. I am considering finding another bank😈

Saves time and gas
With the exception of the photo submission functionality of the check deposit and some issues like the lack of PayPal auto deposits which really is unrelated to the app EB Online is satisfactory. I would never give up the relationshipships I have with tellers in branch but the app certainly has come in handy. Particularly for balance transfer check deposits and online bill pay.
