The app goes down
I mrsn this app will go down at least every other mobth.. and when it does you realize how much you depend on it. I’ve been traveling twice and lost access to all of my accounts. Although people at exchange Bank are nice they are of little help when you have lost access to your accounts ..they have a little to no information . I Been with them for probably 40 years but I’m exhausted with this crappy app .

Credits before debits please
Every time I do a transfer it now shows me in a negative balance even though I have my direct deposit coming through. It never did that in the old app. Credits should always show before debits. Also you had the credits listed in green and debits listed in black but now they’re all the same color. Prefer different colors so I don’t have to look at each transaction in detail.

Recurring Loan Payments Not Possible
Try as I might, I cannot successfully get the app to start recurring payments on my home equity line of credit. Recurring transfers from my external bank account? No problem! But when I try to pay down the money I owe exchange bank, I receive an error message that says I did not complete the date field even when I did. Even when I try dates two weeks out, two months out, six months out, a year out: all the same error. It makes it seem like Exchange Bank intentionally makes it easy for you to give them your money, but hard to pay off your debt to them. If you cannot actually establish a recurring debt payment on this app (or at your institution), then why have recurring payments as an option? Poor user interface and experience.

The Mobile Deposit Submission Issue
I used the mobile deposit portion of this app and it rejected a check submission and I was not notified that it did not accept my mobile deposit images . I had to call to check with a representative to be notified to take new images and resubmit. I would recommend a process that notifies you within the app if the submission was successful or was unsuccessful.

Works well
The only downfall is the bill pay. Trying to use bill pay with the app is frustrating, seems like bill pay is made for the desktop website.
Making internal & external transfers is easy breezy with the app!
I do wish there was chat/messaging available

Love my bank, hate the software
Since EB *upgraded* their software, my experience has been significantly downgraded. In effect, a complete disaster. Bill pay no longer works as it did, I am constantly subjected to fees due to bill pay errors. Often I cannot access my accounts via the app as it has timed out or is unavailable - this is not conducive to maintaining a healthy relationship in this day and age of surveillance and identity theft.
Will give it 30 more days then I’m looking elsewhere.

Great App
Works and surprising how many bank app’s are funky, Exchange bank hit a home run with this one . Everything is easy to find, and easy to use. To top it off when I do have a problem I call the bank and they are always quick and happy to help.
Challenging mobile interface
This particular edition of the mobile app is clumsy and not mobile user friendly. This is particularly true for bill pay - something I use and depend on extensively.
First, not all key information is visible on the screen while making transactions, leading to -sometimes very significant errors. It also has a floating, rather than fixed decimal in this part of the app. This has led to very expensive mistakes.
It is not intuitive, and trying to muddle through can lead to unplanned issues, such as hiding the bill i’m trying to pay. It will show the last amount paid, which is helpful, but beyond that, good luck. The only two ways to find out prior payment history are to pay what you think you owe, or review the whole account history through all transactions. It would be very helpful if they had a link to prior transactions on the front screen of a payee.
I do like the actual calendar next to the amount. This is quite helpful, thank you.
For funds transfers, there are now several steps to transfer from one account to another. Sometimes, once a transaction goes through, there is no indication within either account that a transaction ever took place- again leading to errors. For parents trying to help young adults fly the coop, this is very frustrating! Same with giving allowances- it appears that in the evening, in particular, this is problematic.

The pre 2019 iOS app was much better
I wish I could continue using the app before the 2019 redesign. The previous version worked well, was more responsive, required fewer clicks to get things done and had better integration with quick look etc. The new app feels like it was made for mobile web and then forced onto iOS. Readability is worse, UI elements don’t fit well on the screen of my iPhone 6s and the app feels much less responsive.
I use the app often so I care about the experience. I hope it will be improved in the future to get back at least as good as it used to be.

Very difficult to use, not user-friendly at all
I used online banking for many years, finally switched to a much better bank. Unfortunately, the bank I switched to provided this online banking service which is truly terrible.
Unbelievable! The star rating section works exactly opposite from every other place I have seen this section online. Normally, one star is a minimum rating (just to show that I didn’t ignore the rating section) In this app, I tapped only one star, the farthest left. And it elicited a 4+ rating. I guess they want to keep people from making 0+ ratings. Unbelievable! Why would anyone tap 4 stars thinking that would give a minimum rating??
