  • I recommend this app

After seeing the mixed reviews about this app. I decided to give it try for myself and it works perfect. I use it with FL Studio 11.. And for the price you can't beat it. If it works with FL Studio I'm sure it will work with the other daws it's compatible with..
  • Saved me $1000

I was just about to purchase the hardware ($1000) and came across this app. I love it! Easy integration with my iMac ... Instructions are easy to follow... Loaded the template for Logic Pro and have had no issues!!!
  • Doesn't Work on PC

This app is absolutely useless if you own a pc as it just doesn't work. Following the steps that are provided in the already shoddy tutorial result in nothing showing up in midi devices. Hopefully the dev either allows for wired support or issues a refund on this app.
  • Difficult

Need more instructions online about how to connect to windows.
I followed the instructions and was still not able to get it connected.
Would someone please give me more detail instructions after rtpmidi is setup. Geez
  • Worked for a while

It worked great for a while, now I spent hours working on getting rid of the notices on my Mac that midi port one is unavailable. I may just be an idiot with this though. I am gonna try uninstalling it COMPLETELY which takes many steps to install and uninstall. It's a brilliant program and worth the money for sure if you can make it work which like I said, it may just be my band luck!

  • Total lack of support

Can't get it to work. Period. They neglect to tell you that it's virtually impossible to get working on a PC. There is no set up tutorial for PC either.

There is no support page or anything.

  • Works with Pro Tools 10

The developer has just added a HUI / Pro Tools preset and temporarily dropped the price with this newest update.

I downloaded and set up a wireless Mac OS CoreMidi connection, launched a Pro Tools session, and added the iPad as a new bi-directional controller as required.

The app works immediately as expected, with good wireless response and feedback in both directions between the iPad and Pro Tools UI. I think it's an excellent first release as a Pro Tools controller with the new preset; I'll look forward to UI updates, but there probably is not much to improve as the overall design is solid.

The app could really use a manual for deeper features, e.g. for adding and editing inserts from the iPad, and simple reference for all the controls. It also would be nice if the wheel can toggle between spring-loaded jog and shuttle modes, and if some generic function keys can be enabled in the HUI preset for showing / hiding additional windows. I've barely explored the app and may find that all these features exist (except the manual). If so, then I could easily justify a five star rating. Nice job overall.
  • Simple .

You can program in your own function buttons and map to your daw. Punch in/out this way.
Navigation using scroll wheel could be a bit slower for my taste.
Channel identification is also a bit more difficult than it could be.
But thank you, I love it!
  • Great app for the money!

Using in a pro environment w/ LogicPro9... Flawless so far for me. I've tried most if not all of the daw controller apps, including ones that cost $50+ and this is my favorite so far. Simple, easy to setup and very powerful w/ programmable function keys.
  • Can't get it to work

It would be nice if I could get to work with Windows 7 64bit. The website to download rtpMIDI has been down for the last week. I want my money back. This is some crap!
