In this version we use the following solar activity indicators, presented in a simple and illustrative graphic way: - Kp index of the last three days - A index of the last three days - solar wind speed, almost real-time - number of category C, M and X flares from the previous 3 days, observed in X-rays - X-ray flux with passband between 0.1 and 0.8 nm observed by GOES-16 - proton flux with energy greater than 10 MeV observed by GOES-16 - proton flux with energy greater than 50 MeV observed by GOES-16 - proton flux with energy greater than 100 MeV observed by GOES-16 - electron flow with energy greater than 2 MeV observed by GOES-16 - Hp magnetic field observed by GOES-16 - Total magnetic field (Htot) observed by GOES-16 - summary chart of the main elements that characterize solar activity, in real time

Prevent a crash caused by particles data not available from NGDC. Sorry about that, but the app depends upon this data, and the organization has stopped to distribute the data without warning or alternative.

In this update : minor bugs corrections and some broken links were fixed. Magnetic Storms is always being improved to show you the most updated solar data and Earth magnetic activity. In this update we correct an important issue and make some minor adjustments in the graphics. This update: Adresses an issue that prevented the Particle Flux graph to show and causes the app to crash after the NGDC data file format was changed in late june/2015 Improves some graphics Implement some proactive actions to prevent future problems if the data file format changes again Please spread the news about Magnetic Storms and send us your comments and suggestions. Keep watching the solar activity, we are expecting many interesting events in the next months. The solar cycle is declining in the next years, but the most spectacular events occurs in this phase. - Since late dec/2104 the sites that provided the data for Magnetic Storms were revamped, and the information could no longer be accessed. This version fixes this problem. We apologize for any inconvenience and we would like to thank all the users that send messages asking for the app and the ones that accepted to be beta testers. - Solar wind speed was added in the screens. - Minor bug fixes and layout adjustment for iPhone5, iPhone6 and iPhone6 Plus.
