Today is the third but the chart was last updated on the first. It takes 8 hours for a flare to arrive at earth. Not a good alert app.

I’m disenchanted

I’m looking at news on tv and they are warning of a geomagnetic storm that will likely disrupt communications. This site says nothing I’m wanting to have trust in your site and I know there have been problems , please continue to perfect the site . It’s so important! Thanks Charles Underwood

Thanks for your message, Charles! We’re glad that you’ve got the point. We are doing our best to improve the app and present some new indicators, as NOOA has discontinued the particle flux data. Please notice that our app is not responsible for the data, that is managed by NOAA. We have no control about this subject. And, by the way, the news you refer to is probably a hoax; there has been lots of things like this in the recent past, and some news channel use them to get attention. Best regards

Great little app

i use this all the time checking for Kp index information and solar flare observations.

stopped working recently but very quick response from developer and then quick fix to get it working again; many thanks!

Good for student research

Used in classroom for solar assignments and very dependable.
App creator is also helpful and works to answer questions

Failed to start

Crashes on the startup screen all the time.

Sorry about that. NGDC stopped to release the particles data without warning, and the app crashes when it could not find the data. The app was corrected, in an emergential basis, so this data is not showing anymore, and the app is working with the other graphs. Sorty for the inconvenient. We would appreciate if you could reconsider the stars in your review if the new version is working right now. Best regards, and stay safe!

I REALLY LOVE THIS APP. WITH IT, I KNOW IN ADVANCE OF A COUPLE OF DAYS WHAT WILL GO ON HERE IN EARTH. AT FIRST GLANCE I CONFESS I WAS A LITTLE BIT CONFUSED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION WAS PRESENTED, BECAUSE I AM NOT A SPECIALIST, BUT THE BUILT-IN HELP LET ME UNDERSTAND EASILY WHAT ALL THE INFO MEAN. A MUST! NOW, WITH SUPPORT FOR IPHONE 6, IT IS PERFECT.

Well...the splash screen is nice

No idea of the quality or quality of data presented, because all I get is the splash screen for fifteen to forty-five seconds, followed by a crashed app. Tried it after a reboot, still nothing.

Oh, well. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Hi, there. Sometimes the ftp communication is slow and the app crashes. This will (hopefully) happen no more with the new version, that we've just submitted to Apple Store and will be available soon.
